Beatrix is a neighborhood coffeehouse, restaurant and meeting place in Chicago’s River North, Streeterville, Fulton Market and Oak Brook neighborhoods. The restaurant is the brainchild of Lettuce Entertain You Enterprises’ Founder Rich Melman, Executive Partner and Divisional President Marc Jacobs and Chef Partners John Chiakulas, Rita Dever and Susan Weaver. The menu features healthy meets delicious options, and is known for its iconic coffee and bakery counter, including signature cookies, in-house pastry favorites and our house blends from Beatrix Coffee Roasters, featuring Light, Dark, Espresso and Decaf roasts.

Took advantage of the Chicago Restaurant Week menu. Good options to choose from. Excellent food and service. Jack was very friendly and accommodating. Will definitely be back.

This will easily be our last time at Beatrix. We used to go to the one in the city all the time. Brussels sprouts were unbelievably disappointing for a restaurant charging at least $10+ for them. There was no flavor - no sauce. We make better Brussels sprouts at home- other restaurants make way better Brussels sprouts. Honestly, they should be embarrassed by these Brussels sprouts. Do not order the Brussel sprouts. Also - everything is small portioned. We spent $140+ and still left hungry. Just dumb - when there are way better options out there. We ordered whipped feta - find out 10 minutes later the kitchen “ran out”. We pick a different appetizer that was small portioned. Then they bring the caramel pie out and there is no whipped cream….. ??? We “ran out”. Why are we not getting what we paid for???? Then they give us a bill with a 3% restaurant surcharge added. For what?? You should be paying me 3% for a horrible experience. Then they locked the doors and we couldn’t get back in to get a hat my wife left on the table. We stood there banging on the door to get in and the staff looked at us like we were crazy. It was 9pm on a Saturday night…. Seriously??? Lock the doors? Service was sub-par. Overall experience was bad. There are too many other good options than to waste $150 on a place like this. I honestly very rarely leave any sort of reviews for a place - You guys should be embarrassed by this. Awful.

Service was great! Food was top notch! The cauliflower and the meatball appetizers were delicious! Nice that they have gluten free options for all 3 courses. We will certainly be back! Only drawback was the noise level. We were seated by the kitchen.

I was super excited to try this restaurant as they were featured for restaurant week, the food was just alright. Fried chicken was delicious but the burger was average. Desserts were great but I am a sweets person, I would be interesting go back and try something that was not on the prefixed menu

Food was delicious. Table had the enchiladas and chilaquiles. Drinks were okay. Pour decisions is a good cocktail. Service was good. No water service upon paying the bill. They do include 3% surcharge, but it can be removed, upon request.

My waiter Michael was great very attentive he knew the menu well and nice smile we truly enjoyed his service and the food amd ambiance was awesome definitely will come back again.

Went for brunch on a later Saturday morning. Place was busy but no wait for our reservation. Our server was great, gave us plenty of time to chat before ordering. Also our modifications to our meals were accepted cheerfully and carried out perfectly by the kitchen. They even brought my friend a free dessert with a lot candle for her birthday! Always a good place to eat !
