Avec l'équipe derrière The Stanton Social il y a Beauty & Essex, un grand restaurant de 930 mètres carres, avec son bar et salon au cœur du Lower east side.

L'atmosphère de l'espace est à la fois grandiose et intime, avec du caractère et effervescent. Différentes salles pour se prélasser et manger se dévoilent sur deux étages, comme une grande maison de ville du siècle dernier. Great decor and atmosphere but that's about it. The food was awful. The beef wellington was tough, the Peruvian chicken was too salty. The best dish is the Mac and cheese. We were told that it was tapas style food and to order between 4-6 dishes. The dishes were huge and not tapas style at all so it meant that we had over ordered which meant our meal was more expensive than it needed to be. We won't be coming back

The ambience in the restaurant is very beautiful if you’re just trying to go to a restaurant for like vibes and aesthetic. The food is advertised as shareable and it is not at all ! It was a group of five of us and we left the restaurant still hungry ( due to what we chose each had like 2 or 3 pieces of food on the plate). The drinks were also not good whatsoever. They also scolded us for using a bathroom at the same time ( which is fair) but the workers did not inform us that there was more restrooms downstairs until they called over their security to come and tell us that, which I felt was totally unnecessary and very off putting. Overall, would not be returning.

The menu and venue are tired. The place used to be buzzing and had a fun vibe to it. That is not the case any more. The service however was fabulous. So, that was refreshing.

Whilst the food was great and the ambience in the restaurant was exceptional, we booked weeks ago for 9pm, arrived on time and were only provided a table at 9:40pm, once we sat down we were asked to order everything for all of our courses asap, as the kitchen closes at 10pm. We felt rushed because of the restaurants delay in providing our booked table.

Great food, wonderful server. Couldn’t believe how fast our food and drinks arrived- our server made excellent recommendations and was so nice. A wonderful experience. Only negative was the noise level, but what do you expect at such a popular place. Totally worth it!!
