   This was my 2nd time visiting Bellona - first time at the College location. We started off with the Caesar salad and calamari. Both were excellent - not everyday you find vegan calamari on a menu even at vegan restaurants. The flavour, texture and lemon dill aioli were excellent. For mains we ordered the lemon pesto rigatoni and lasagna. The lemon rigatoni was very good. The lasagna was good but the sauce was definitely on the sweet side and while I am a saucy guy when it comes to food, the sauce to cheese ratio was off. Too much sauce - which I don’t say often - vs cheese. I know some recipes have carrots in the sauce, but since the sauce was already sweet the carrots didn’t help. Seemed like there were more carrots vs mushrooms and would’ve loved some spinach to add different veggies and to make it less sweet. Lastly for dessert we had the apple fritters and tiramisu. The fritters were very good - classic apple cinnamon flavour. The vanilla ice cream that came with the fritters seemed stale or over-churned. Texture was more hard vs smooth and it didn’t have that rich vanilla flavour. The tiramisu was unfortunately very disappointing and the main reason for giving 4 stars. After the first bite, we looked at each other and knew something was off. The top layer with the whip cream was good but as we got to the bottom layer with the vanilla cake, the first bite - for lack of a better word - had a fishy taste. Honestly shouldn’t have swallowed that. Tried a 2nd bite and it wasn’t as bad but still there and at that point we couldn’t eat anymore. The waitress asked if we were going to finish it and we shared our feedback and she kindly apologized and removed the item from the bill. My guess is something in the Tiramisu was spoiled or maybe one of the ingredients gave it a very off-putting flavour. Overall, most of the food was delicious but appetizers were the highlight for me. A lot of great menu options - but some of the dishes we had could use some adjustments.

   Service and food were great. The restaurant feels very family friendly, not stuffy or corporate. We really liked this new location. The food is always amazing. We love having several vegan options.

   First time at the new location and the food was awesome , the service was super friendly and we loved the new space. 5 stars. We will be back

   Came here to celebrate my partners birthday! We had a great time. Everyone was so friendly and helped us out with getting seated. I love how cozy the restaurant felt and that their menu has amazing options! I had the elderflower martini to drink and it was one of my favourites! We had the Caesar salad and the bruschetta to share. Caesar salad was great and the focaccia for the bruschetta was so soft! For mains I had the cremini rigatoni which was soo good and creamy! Our server was amazing. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. Our tiramisu at the end was the perfect touch to a perfect night! I also signed up for points every time I eat out here! I will definitely be back! Thanks everyone for a special night! ☺️

   Need I say more ...the welcome, the ambiance, food and service were all EXCELLENT and we are repeat customers. I highly recommend Bellona to anyone and everyone. My favorite place to dine.

   Had such a wonderful anniversary dinner at Bellona last night, the service was honestly the best in the city! Jo was such a kind and caring server and everything we ordered was amazing! I cannot wait to return

    Couldn’t be happier with my experience at Bellona. Great food, Great service, Great environment, and all the staff had an excellent personality and were all very friendly.
