From the OpenTable editors: Daisy and Greg Ryan met at Per Se, so it should come as no surprise that their French-leaning Los Alamos restaurant has a MICHELIN Star and that Daisy received a Best New Chef nod from Food & Wine in 2020. Expect bistro-style food for lunch and a prix-fixe at dinner that changes with the seasons, all served in a white brick-lined space done up with copper pots and vintage rugs. You definitely won’t want to miss the steak au poivre with crispy fries and the stack of crêpes topped with Santa Barbara uni.

This is my favorite restaurant in California! What the Ryan’s are doing is so special! This was our fourth experience dinning with you and it was as amazing as always. We love sitting at the counter and this time got a lovely hello greeting from Chef Daisy! Our server, Chris, was so helpful and generous with us. He even served us an additional cold soup that was a perfect complement to the salad course. BTW, that fig dressing is a revelation! And the GM, Ryan, even came over and chatted us up. Such a genuinely lovely team all around. I finally bought a sweatshirt on this trip. Perfect for this years colder than usual spring. Love you, Bell’s!

Food was OK service very poor. Expected a lot more for the cost and the fact they flaunt the Michelin *

A Special night out for our anniversary. Prix fixe menu. A taster of Champagne was a lovely touch as we sat down. We ordered French Pinot noir from Burgundy. A half bottle Pricey at $99. Smoother than Pinots we are used in the Santa Rita Hills. Different, Excellent. Service-impeccable. Entire staff are knowledgeable, congenial and wanting to please. Menu: Santa Barbara Sea Urchin. An amuse-bouche with caviar on a mille crepe. Excellent salty taste on a tender crepe. Bell’s seeded sourdough a bit too rustic and tough texture for my tastes. Dinner salad - Finley farms lettuce, full of flavor dressing of shallot and date vinaigrette. We loved the fresh mixed greens and dressing. Chickpea panisse with artichoke, anchovy and saffron aioli deconstructed- crispy chickpea wafers were nice when topped with all ingredients. Aioli had a hint of lemon. Vitello tonnato - capers and asparagus. Veal was chewy, no asparagus. The capers overwhelmed the veal. Morro bay Vermillion Rockfish- leaks and mussels were chewy, rockfish scales left on. Was not a fan of the overall taste. Only had a few bites. Steak au poivre- 5 oz coulotte, peppercorn sauce and frites. Steak was really tough, served blood rare and over powered with peppercorns. Too spicy. Fries ok. Only had a few bites. Tangerine Glacee with a crispy pavlova. Delicious Big Sur - local walnuts in a rosemary tart and a side of Brie - lovely. Overall appreciate the philosophy of local, creative and flavorful dishes. Service is French casual and Food Presentation 5 stars. Thanks Brian & Lauren. They went out of their way to make our night special. Even put “Happy Anniversary” on our menu. The meal was pricey but we knew this going in. The automatic 20 percent fee added was a surprise. We would’ve paid that anyway. The manager came to our table, apologized for the main dishes and took it off our bill. This was much appreciated. We will try again, lunch next time.

Service and food was great from start to finish. Everything was great, but the tangerine sorbet to cap the meal was next level. Thank you.
