Welcome to Belmeis! Bringing you exciting music, infused cocktails and original, creative small plates to N10.

Our approach was to open somewhere that people feel at home. A cosy, unpretentious atmosphere that allows visitors to enjoy the concept of World Music.

Our food is elegant and simple. Small plates of Modern European creations, with an emphasis on what is in season, put together by our experienced chef joining us after having worked at The Fat Duck and Galvin La Chapelle. Perfect for groups and individuals, wanting something light or more substantial.

Finally, our signature cocktails list which is unique to Belmeis. An innovative, exciting concept designed by Jack Charlton, former Bar Manager at No.5 Hertford Street. Expect bacon infused bourbon, cereal milk and chilli infused tequila. We believe this to be one of the most original, inventive cocktail lists in North London! But don’t take our word for it, come and try for yourself…

Every dish is prepared freshly that day with our ingredients being delivered each and every morning from our local suppliers. We smoke a lot of our dishes on the big green egg and have cheese and meat boards supplied from neals yard and cobble lane cured. Our exciting flavours of ice cream come from the ice cream union and in general we like to keep our menu very fresh, seasonal and exciting.

It was not open for my reservation. I got there and the shutter as closed. It would've been good to be told beforehand since I had arranged to meet a few friends there.

Archie was in charge of our booking. We’d gone from a booking of 8 to 6 (I called to tell him) and on the night only 5 could make it. He was very accommodating, a great in between prosecco and champagne was recommended and we left very relaxed and chilled. It’s perfect for a mums night out to gossip and treat themselves to something cozy and fun.

i'd been once before on a saturday evening when the place was full and the staff v positive, warm, friendly and helpful this time, it was quiet (that happens, esp mid-week) but the manager was SOOOOO rude. i was shocked as were my friends - one of whom swore she'd never go back there again. i'm willing to give it a 3rd go because of my first visit, but i completely understand my friends reaction. V disappointing.

We had a fabulous evening at this new venue in Muswell Hill. The food was delicious and excellent value, cocktails were out of this world and the stunning décor made it a night to remember. There was no live music the night we went but next time - and that'll be soon - we'll pick a night when there is and I'm sure there'll be a great atmosphere.

A few tables for small plates eating. The food was simple and excellent. We re-ordered the aubergine because it was so good. Comfortable and original bar-restaurant with attentive service.

Will definitely be back soon, we had a great night .... Muswell Hill needed a bar like this!

I booked a table for 2 for myself and my girlfriend as a date. Turned up and there was no table ready. Response from the waitress was “it’s rude for me to kick people off the tables” Well, it’s also rude not to have a table ready for those who have booked. Either become an adult and face up to the responsibility of running a restaurant properly or stop taking bookings. Fair to say I won’t be back until they hire some more experienced staff.

Intimate setting with a mixture of seating. The food is served as small plates: prawns a bit pricey for four especially after removing shells. Truffle and Parmesan chips were delicious. Dried figs tasty but tiny. Very warm welcome and staff very helpful and attentive. Cocktails were excellent and so was Malbec. We stayed much longer than planned!
