   We were created by friendly staff, we got sad down, servers were great and our cook was very funny. We loved the experience.

   Service was attentive if not a bit on the side of rushed even when the tables weren’t full. Food was a major disappointment, nothing to the degree of sending it back, merely under flavoured and flat. The prawn tempura batter was thick and overpowered the delicate prawns. Any decent tempura restaurant in Japan would be offended at serving that. The gyoza were no more interesting than some bought from Waitrose. The “side salad” was worse than a service station offering covered in a blob of tasteless dressing. The hibachi prawns were tasteless with no suggestion of the lemon and butter offered by the menu. The beef was the only stand out item of the lunch, tender and cooked to request, the sauce provided for the beef lacked zing or any suggestion of spice or the promised ginger. The egg fried rice (supplement) was tasteless. The wine list was very appropriate for the quality of the food, the Gavi being light and crisp to complement the food. I suspect the custom comes from the spectacle of preparation definitely not the quality of the offering. I am sure they could do better. I won’t be returning.

   Such a fantastic birthday lunch, with a surprise a sweet treat and a round of celebrating and cheering my darlings’ 41st. Will absolutely be coming back~ the lunch set menu filled us up for the day! We also went for the cocktails, which were lovely. Staff couldn’t have been nicer, with such a great energy! Wonderful, thank you.

   Great fun, a spectacle. Food was really nice. Probably not the place to go for a romantic quiet dinner, but for something lively and a bit different it’s a good option.

   The restaurant was an amazing choice for my mothers birthday. Our chef was Charlie and we was lucky to have him as he’s conversation and showmanship was a sight to behold. He is now our annual chef as we will definitely be returning this time next year and I recommend everyone to go and ask for Charlie to serve them as it will be a night you will never forget.
