   Made a reservation waited an additional hour and fifteen minutes to be seated then took an hour and a half to get dinner

   It was all expected the presentation was lovely I really enjoyed it. The food was excellent and well prepared. The chef was attentive and so was the waitress.

   The menu has changed and not for better. Yum yum sauce is an extra charge. Sushi options have been severely reduced to not much of anything. We all smelled like what we had eaten when leaving. We used to eat here every visit to Vegas, but we are not go back.

   We were sat 45 minutes after our reservation time. When asking the server how long the experience would be since we had plans to be somewhere else at 11pm, she had an attitude and disappeared most of the time the chef was there where many of our drinks were completely empty as we waited.

   We love Teppanyaki-style Japanese restaurants and have visited many across Canada. After hearing that Benihana was a well-known American chain, we decided to give it a try. However, the experience was disappointing. The restaurant felt like a blend of fast food and Teppanyaki, with lackluster furnishings—one chair was broken, and the replacement wasn’t even properly assembled. The bright lighting completely lacked ambiance, and despite the premium pricing on the menu, the atmosphere didn’t reflect it. Ultimately, we left and dined at the Wynn instead, where we spent the same amount but enjoyed a far superior experience. Given the high standards of dining in Las Vegas, Benihana needs to upgrade its restaurants to remain competitive.
