The Abbey is continuing the ancient Benedictine tradition of providing hospitality to visitors. The Cellarium, part of the 14th century fabric of Westminster Abbey, was where the monks kept their stores of food and drink. Now the Cellarium café refreshes this tradition of hospitality.
The Cellarium serves delicious salads and traditional British lunches including Fish and Chips every Friday.
The cafe is split over two floors with a terrace on the upper floor with views over the towers of the Abbey.

We changed our original booking time of 1pm for later in the day - 4pm - as we were going on a tour of the Houses of Parliament. We thoroughly enjoyed our teas and cakes.

The Food was amazing, the staff where lovely although a few slip ups but that is a minor compared to the rest of the experience. The setting was beautiful. My partner loved her birthday meal.

The ambience within the precincts of the Abbey was very special. We have found an oasis to meet friends and chat in peace in the centre of London.

I met a friend for breakfast as the only time we could meet up while she was in London, this was one of the few places that came up on a search for somewhere open in this area at 8am and it did not disappoint! The tastiest granola I have ever had, lovely fresh orange juice and a pot of hot tea, and good service - what more could you want?! Will definitely go again for breakfast and I expect it is also good at other times.

We have been visiting this restaurant conveniently located just beside the Westminster Abbey several times. The menu is rather modest - just few meals -hamburger, duck, fish and vegetarian (one of each). But all nicely prepared with small choice of side dishes. Service is quick and efficient. Drinks although limited quite enough for a quick and satisfying lunch.
