Great italian cuisine with incredible hospitality! We came here to celebrate our anniversary and it did not disappoint. Our server Francesco was excellent and helpful - I love to course out my meal and he guided us through the menu and our wine selections to pair with the food. At the end they dropped a beautiful anniversary dessert with compliments. I would love to return!

The service and food quality were outstanding. The truffle carpaccio should be a regular item vs. seasonal because it was so good. Great value for the money.

My husband and I were celebrating our 26th anniversary, and so we were looking for a new place for dinner that was different, had ambience and great food. Unfortunately, the location of this restaurant was complicated and very difficult to find, we simply had to walk “too” far to get to it once we arrived. A woman in heels walking over pavers do not go together, big smiles. Anyway, the food. The food is “extremely overpriced” for what we received! My husband’s meal, the Cappellaccio “Little Hat” had zero to no braised Beef Short Rib nor Spinach in it,it truly was disappointing. As for my dish, the “Pappardelle al Telphono” was also NOT worth the money. I was talked into adding shrimp, which was “FARM” raised and spongy at an additional $16 👎🏽, so for a whooping $48 dollars for this plate, I could have gotten my rack of lamb instead!!! Not worth it. Unfortunately will not go back here, but our waiters were wonderful.

Fine dining restaurant where they shouldn’t welcome shorts and hoodies. There are other casual spots at the hotel. Food and service were excellent.

Great experience from beginning to the end. Location is amazing in the Portofino hotel. Only two minor issues were the steak tartare as an appetizer was kind of bland and my Cappellaccio pasta was different than what it stated in the menu….was a medalglioni vs a cappellaccio (medallions vs little hats…but the dish was absolutely delicious nonetheless). The wife had the gnocchi which was fabulous AND huge. Waiter was funny and Johnny-on-the-spot with his service. The Italian mule was delicious and the lava cake was a nice ending to the meal. Would definitely return again.

This was going to be our fancy dinner while visiting Universal. It started off good but ultimately didn’t live up to expectations. We started with salads and they were good. (Ceaser and Beet) After that we selected a gluten free bolognese pasta dish. And it was really good. Then the entrees arrived. My wife ordered the halibut . It came out sitting on mashed potatoes. Which we both felt was pretty weird. Flavors were just off, Not bad just confusing. I ordered the strip. It was cooked to temp however it was completely cold. I sent it back. A few minutes later it came back. The plate was piping hot. The steak was overcooked. And the arugula was wilted from being put in the oven to reheat vs making a new one. If it would have been a higher quality piece of meat it might have been ok. Our server also was disappointing. He started off good well but as the evening went on we saw less and less of him and primarily relied on catching runners for service. Other servers even started to come fill our waters after I’m assuming they saw the looks on our face. I will say the manager stepped in and comped my steak. Ultimately though, this was probably our only disappointment in what otherwise was a fantastic experience at Universal
