I loved everything we ordered, but my wife preferred the Panza taco over the Al Pastor, but we did finish all the tacos… 3 each and we shared a side of rice and beans and a Brussel sprout tostada, which was good but the beans on it threw us off. I suppose it made the brussel sprouts stick to the tostada. I also had a couple ounces of their whiskey barrel picks which were delicious as well and not too pricy! Stagg and Weller Full Proof picks were perfect! Stagg old fashioned was good, too. Not too sweet!

We booked a restaurant week lunch but when we got there we were told it wasn’t available until after 4pm. Why did the restaurant week website offer lunch booking? Also the menu was very limited. When we asked for a menu with lunch offerings instead of the drink menu with appetizers, we were told it wasn’t available until after 2pm. We stayed and ordered the fish tacos. The chorizo egg tacos were better. Nice ambience if you want drinks and apps. It was just ok.

Love Big Star, but not so much this visit. Monday night, didn't seem overwhelmingly crowded but was told the kitchen was backed up. We were in no hurry. However after one of us had their order arrive, and the other one of us was left waiting for over 15 minutes (and it was the Monday night special we were waiting on) we decided to cancel that order as the first order was readily consumed. We had a very understanding and proactive server who removed the food charges completely from the bill and we paid only for drinks. We were ready to tip on the amount as if all food had been delivered but were closed out at just the drink prices. Super appreciate the action on behalf of Big Star, and I will return, as I really want that Monday Night Smashburger special :-) and to properly tip our server (must learn to carry some cash!)

Antonio was awesome. He took excellent care of us. Great chips and salsa. Great margaritas. Great vibes.

Went because my young adult kids like it. Food is OK but very pricey for tacos. Margaritas were good but on the 3rd pitcher they came out with something that looked like orange juice or mango was in it. When we asked the waiter about it he was trying to just say it was a new batch and that’s just how it looks and tastes. It did not look or taste good so when we stated that he did not like that we complained so he took the pitcher back and even took our glasses that we had poured some of the margarita in. Don’t get me wrong 3/4 of the picture was still full so why did he have to take the glasses away too. Part of the previous drink was also in the glasses most likely from the previous picture. To punish us. Now we had to just drink water for the rest of the meal. Really rude when you think about. Our bill was still almost $400 yet he would not let us finish our glass or offer if we wanted a beer something. Will not be back soon.
