When we started Big Top Brewing Company, there were no craft breweries in the Sarasota area and we set out to fix that. We wanted to compliment Sarasota’s historical associations with The Ringling Circus, performing arts, great architecture, the best art and design schools and world renown tourism.

The best way we could do that was to craft beer that our home town can be proud of. We plan to continue the tradition of the arts and help Sarasota add beer town to its identity. Come step under our big top and see for yourself. Big Top Brewing Company artistically crafts world class beers, inspired by our passion, integrity, and the history of our home town.

Lemon Shandy
4% ABV Light and zesty, this lemon shandy was made for the Florida heat. Enjoy this American lager blended with homemade lemonade all Summer long. We call this beer the perfect refresher!
Pumpkin Stiltskin Ale
8.9% ABV Prepare for a pumpkin ale that is hauntingly good. Every year the Pumpkin Stiltskin rises from the fields and sacrifices his kin to provide the flavors of baked pumpkin, cinnamon, roasted honey, brown sugar, and fresh vanilla beans.
Winter Red Ale
5.5% ABV Light citrus and spruce aromas warmly offer Seasons Greetings. The first sip unwraps sweet malt flavors of toasted caramel and brown sugar. Hops assert their presence with flavors of pine, grapefruit, and spice. Cheers to complex harmony and 60-degree winters!

Would be incredible if they offered some menu options that are both vegan and gluten free. The only option o was offered was a house salad without cheese and croutons. The menu is creative—including falafel, tacos and cauliflower and other items that could easily be vegan and gluten free. (Can you offer corn tortillas? No need to add gluten to falafel—it’s typically both vegan and gluten free at other restaurants, etc.) LOVED the cocktail options. Indoor/outdoor space is amazing, too!

Surprisingly good food. Nice selection of enjoyable beers. We arrived at 5:30 on a Monday evening and were surprised to find the place very crowded (great sign). Once the food and drinks started to arrive we understood why. From the pretzel to the salad to the wings, the starters were very good. Burger and pizzas, delicious. Thanks for an enjoyable evening out with visiting family.

It was so awful it was like romper room kids running everywhere screaming no parental supervision and no management to control any of it. Food was served in boxes and had to ask for paper plates and plastic forks and knives. Waiter was nice enough but slow taking order and getting drinks waited 1/2 for a beer and wine! Will never go back

Great energetic atmosphere. There were lots of families with small children, as well as all other age groups. Outdoor seating had colorful seating tables, a large rectangular fire pit with plenty of seating around it. Long outdoor bar with TV's. The food is scratch made and delicious.

First time there. Arrived 1 hour before reservation and was seated right away. Wheelchair assessible as far as getting in and out. Waitress was wonderful. Sorry tto say I didn't get her name. Food terrific.
