The Bird in Hand is a friendly independently owned and operated pub in the village of Mayford. Whether you are looking for a casual drink, formal get together, delicious Sunday roast or a beer in our lovely garden area we have you covered.
We offer a great selection of beers, wine & cocktails that can be paired with our fresh seasonal menus served in our formal dining area, casual bar area or large sunny garden. We are proud to have a passionate and dedicated team who are here to help you enjoy your experience with us.
We are dog friendly in our bar and garden areas.
Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Children of any age may dine with us but must vacate the premises by 8pm.

    A lovely dining experience yet again. Love the way the tables are laid out, so that you don't have other diners sitting listening to your conversations. Food as fabulous as ever and our waitress who looked after us was really happy and helpful. Very much one of my favourite places to dine.

    Once again we had a wonderful meal at the Bird in Hand. We took our friend for a 40th Birthday lunch. The food was first class and the service was top level. Happy Birthday message was added to our friend’s desert plate as a little extra touch. Thanks to Megan and Izzy for their attention to detail. Highly recommended to anyone who wants a really nice meal

    Lovely friendly helpfull staff , our dog was offered water to drink good menu choice food cooked well and portion size very good,price very reasonable.

    Met 3 friends for lunch and we were seated on a round table as requested. The food was very tasty and there was plenty of it. We were able to chat easily as it wasn’t too noisy, even though it was busy. The service was very good, all staff attentive and helpful.
