Those are the things we all love.” - Fabien Striet (Head Chef) and Nazzareno Falaschetti (Restaurant Manager) At Bistro Français, we believe French food shouldn’t be reserved for special occasions. Our menu of classic dishes is prepared to authentic recipes, alongside a few modern takes and seasonal specials. We offer wines sourced from French regions, and a handful of local producers.     Very nice. Love the chicken liver parfait and crispy duck leg. Chicken liver parfait don’t have strong scent/taste of liver and the texture is perfect. It’s is smooth which is not too soft which makes it taste like fat or too creamy. Duck leg comes with orange as one of the seasoning ingredients which make the dish very appetizing. Nice taste especially for summer time. The duck itself is also juicy and not dry.

    Enjoyed the starters: scallops were good, mushroom crepe was excellent. Ordered the steak medium rare and requested closer to rare, which did not come out as expected (ie medium well). When given feedback, were told chef was too busy to accompany new order of the steak. Got beef bourguignon instead which lacked flavour and substance, especially considering its price point. Desert of chocolate dome was great. We’re offered free dessert for inconvenience but later noticed we were charged for our desserts. Not good enough in a comparative landscape.

    Located in a lovely village, this restaurant is worth a visit! Inside is charming but we sat outside so a more cafe feel.. We came for the onion soup and it didn’t disappoint- delicious and a meal in itself! Forced ourselves to try the lemon tart and chocolate dessert- both delicious! Strongly recommend. If we lived in Adelaide, this place would be one of our regulars for sure!

    The 50 dollar steak was cooked in too much butter and it was extremely fatty. It was too expensive for what we got. Normally you would get bread for free but here they charge 12 dollars for a few pieces. The wines were good. The service was below average.
