One of the best places to enjoy Mediterranean food in Ottawa. The staff are very friendly and accommodating - from suggestions on drinks that go well with the food, to salads that complement the main dish. Truly amazing place to feel like home.

We've discovered the bistro 6 years ago and it's our to-go place when we dine in downtown Ottawa ever since. The food is excellent, with Europian-Mediterranen flavours. Any pizza is a must. Our kids adore their pizzas. The service is top notch, with extremely friendly and helpful staff and a welcoming owner. Clean and a very pleasant atmosphere. Highly recommend!!!

My wife and I recently visited this restaurant for the first time and had a fantastic dining experience. The pljeskavica (XL Cheeseburger-Plieskavitza) was generously portioned and served wrapped in bread—absolutely delicious! The calamari were cooked to perfection, tender and flavorful. The green salad was fresh and crisp, complementing the meal perfectly. The next time we went there we both enjoyed the karađorđeva šnicla (Karageorge's Schnitzel), which was equally impressive. Every dish came in large portions, so you definitely won’t leave hungry. Highly recommend this place for anyone craving authentic and hearty meals!

We are so happy we found this little Italian gem in the byward market. The whole experience was outstanding: we were received by the owner/chef of the restaurant, our waiter was very attentive and service was quick, and most importantly…the food and wine were DELICIOUS! The portions are extremely generous so well worth the price. I would highly recommend this place. Our order: Carbonara double smoked bacon pasta, chicken bread pot & a bottle of the Zinfandel wine.

Decided to try out this restaurant for the first time, and was not disappointed. The food was better than anywhere else I've been. We ordered a pizza, the carbonara, and stuffed mushrooms, and the experience was magnitudes better than any other restaurant of this level I have been to.

Bistro Rostoro is one of our favourite restaurants. We have tried many of the items on the menu - every item is delicious. Vlado and his team pay careful attention to ensure that the food and wine are excellent. An evening at Bistro with friends is relaxing, with a warm and inviting ambience and tasteful music.
