   It was terrible! I’m sorry, I don’t usually provide any negative reviews but, this was the worst BJ’s experience ever! I hate it back home but, thought it might be better here. We set a reservation for my son’s birthday. They sat us on time (6:30pm) but, food didn’t show up until after 8pm. And, there was no celebration or dessert for him. What a waste of time. And no celebration for him. Again, I have never left a bad review, ever! But, would love to warn families of my experience here.

   Great choices for everyone in our party, including someone who has a gluten allergy. Separate gluten friendly menu. Also great choices for craft beer. Pizzas were excellent. Our sever was top notch and earned a 30% tip. Great experience after a long day of sightseeing around Carlsbad.

   The pizza at the Carlsbad location never has enough pizza sauce. It’s like cheese bread. Even when I ask for extra sauce it is dry. No other BJs has this problem. Please fix it.

   New years eve. Restaurant wasn't full, service was awful. Not up to standard. I would be more forgiving on new years eve if it was crowded. No silverware until asked

   Hot dishes served cold, one of our entrees served before we even got our appetizer. Pasta was in a pool of greasy butter.

   Went Christmas Eve…had a 5pm reservation but got there closer to 4:40…restaurant was fairly empty but they had us wait until closer to our reservation time. Staff was courteous and friendly. Waitress was personable and fun but seemed to struggle to keep up. There were a couple or larger tables (party of 7) she was also waiting on. Drinks came pretty fast but the refills and food not so much. Husband and I got our food about 10 minutes before my poor mom. She ordered the salmon and no special requests. They did take 20% off her dinner .

   The service was very slow, and they overcooked our steaks twice. We waited over 30 minutes for our dessert! I would not recommend this place again. Our first server blew us off after we sent our steaks back. We were very nice about the food and didn't ask for a manager, but dumping us off to a different waiter was terrible! I made sure I tipped the new waiter!
