We have been here before...The food is quite good and this time we had a terrific server..The gents' name is Leander and was simply a pleasure to deal with...Will ask for him again...That is for certain... One other point..They have had an issue with repairing their Cappucino machine for YEARS...It is so ridiculous that we laughed when we found out that the issue lives...For this chain to just buy a new machine is truly a disgrace. Also I am certain they lose a lot of after dinner business in regard to desserts and coffee and it leaves a bad feeling to end the dinner...

A truly enjoyable upscale restaurant here in the capital District. Exceptional service a welcoming staff delicious food thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Yes it may seem expensive but it’s very good quality wonderful place to go. Highly recommended.

Great food. Excellent service. Very expensive. Initially seated in main dining room in high traffic area, with a member of our party in a wheelchair . Reservation specified special need and birthday celebration. We spoke to management who initially said the large tables were taken. After reiterating the fact that our needs were conveyed in a reservation made a while ago, and we were very unhappy, higher management jumped in and moved us to another table in a very quiet section. Be sure to specify you want a quiet space or you may end up in a high traffic, noisy spot in the main dining room. Cat our waitress was excellent.

All perfect ... except the pork belly was served in a broth so it lost its crispness... so either change back or I will not order again!

A great upscale restaurant situated in the Capital District that offers the diner a varied choice of steaks served to perfection. Wait staff is extremely attentive, ambience is relaxed, meal service is spaced accordingly and not rushed and the food is delivered hot! There is an extensive wine list that seemingly can fit everyone's budget. If one is looking for fine dining, in a classy restaurant, not feel rushed, Black and Blue Steak and Crab should be on your dining list! Kenn

Simply horrible. The crab cake has virtually no crab and tasted like a bag of flour. The steak was served on a piping hot metal plate out if the 1700 degree oven, that continued to cook my steak way beyond " Rare". It ended up up "Medium" by the time I finished. The bearnaise sauce tasted of White wine vinegar only. The coliflower au gratin, was liquidy ans had very little cheese. Unnaceptable for the supposed quality of the restaurant and the price we paid.

The ambiance is lovely. Service was very good. Our Maryland crab soup was excellent. Unfortunately the steak and main course food was over salted. The brandy peppercorn sauce was bitter. The crème brûlée was excellent and the accompanying lemon cookie was fantastic. The presentation for the main course is awful - a slab of meat. It is expensive but unfortunately I think it is easy to prepare a better steak at home
