    It was nice enough for what we were looking for the burger was tasty. The poke bowl was not substantial unfortunately and too spicy. It was very loud and filled with a lot of young children so it wasn’t really an upscale vibe. The cocktails were good and the service was middle of the road.

    We have been to the Black Cow several times for special occasions and it never disappoints. One of the very best restaurants in Newburyport. Excellent food, service, and atmosphere!

    The booth by the window: friendly privacy without over the top intimacy. Allowed for catching up with a friend (work drama, family adventures, etc.) without that feeling I was telling the whole restuarant my business. That was surprising given the floor plan.

    Wonderful service! Very attentive staff. We weren’t rushed so that we could relax during our leisurely lunch. We each enjoyed our delicious poke bowl and yummy shared chocolate cake. We will be back and will recommend others looking for a great lunch location. Thank you!
