We dined for NYE and wanted a place with music. Sitting outside was no problem with the heat lamps and the music was good. They stopped at 9pm - thought it might go longer. But still nice. The food was excellent.

We celebrated New Year’s Eve at Black Restaurant Kitchen and Bar and had an overall enjoyable experience. The food was delicious—the steak was cooked perfectly and served in just the right portion. The pork brine was flavorful and easily one of our favorites of the evening. The vibe was upbeat, and the atmosphere set a great mood for the celebration. However, the night hit a snag when the music stopped around 9 PM and remained off for about 45 minutes. During that time, the only sound outside was the murmur of conversations, and it felt like the energy dipped a bit. We couldn’t help but notice how last year’s New Year’s Eve performer was such a highlight, and it made us miss that extra spark this time around. While we might return for a jazz brunch (which sounds amazing), we’ll likely try somewhere new for next year’s New Year’s Eve dinner. Overall, a good evening with fantastic food, but a few missed beats in the ambiance..

The chef wanted to charge us $4.00 to substitute mash potatoes for palenta. Another restaurant that gives way too much decision making to a chef..

Great local spot. Upscale bar food that was tasty. Room is very nicely done and totally unexpected for a neighborhood restaurant. Good value.

We came for the Jazz and it did not disappoint. Tonight the jazz ensemble was inside which made it a bit loud for others but not for us. Food was plentiful. Pasta needed a bit more time to cook. Drinks were wonderful. Service was good. Consistently good for party atmosphere.

Welcomed with smiles and immediately were seated. Mia our server was outstanding, always making sure we had whatever we desired. Food was not stellar.

BRKB has quickly become our favorite dinner meet up the past month. It’s been great to bring Ginger, our fur baby for dinner with friends. Great drinks and food…outdoor area is nicely spaced apart with heaters and blankets available, if needed.

We were looking for a quick but good early dinner on Saturday night. Black Rail squeezed us in as we called at 4:00 for a 5:30 reservation. We were seated on time, service was very good, food was very good and we were able to get to our next stop with no problem. The restaurant has become a go to place for us for an informal but upscale meal.
