The Black River Tavern, a unique, casual restaurant and bar situated on the picturesque Valley of the Eagles Golf Club, featuring handcrafted walnut tables made with repurposed timber and natural stonework locally quarried.

This was our first time here. We couldn't find the restaurant but walked in on a wedding. We finally found the restaurant. They really should have signs up pointing to the restaurant not the wedding, although we walked in on it anyway. There wasn't even a sign on the door for the restaurant. Good thing it wasn't raining. Despite this, the food was very good and the waitress was very nice. We will be back now that we know where to go.

Outstanding fall specials menu! - roast pork tenderloin with spaetzle and sauerkraut was delicious. Service was great. Noise level is a little loud. Always a dependably excellent dining experience.

The menu offers a great selection of options from basic to somewhat exotic. The tuna cocktail appetizer was our favorite for the evening. The salmon was served with a sweet sauce poured over the top. It would be better with the sauce served on the side. The walleye was hiding in a thick batter but was tasty. Service was excellent. We'll be back to try other dishes.

We had a party of eight. All of us enjoyed our dinners and the service was outstanding . The seafood pasta as well tuna are exceptional. Our compliments to the chef and staff .

The food was not good at all, besides the appetizer. Steak was missing the sauce, that was then given to me for me to put on instead of being cooked in it or poured onto when the steak was actually hot. My wife got the salmon and ended up getting food poising from it! Food was just plain and cold. Will not be going back with is unfortunate as we had high hopes.

Food was great and atmosphere was nice. Tucked away in the basement which makes for a nice setting.

In the atrium pretty noisy from the gentlemen at the bar Overall experience was great My guests thoroughly enjoyed the food and the setting The Brussel sprouts were amazing Our waitress Casey was wonderful Will probably do it again
