Situé au cœur de Mayfair, le Black Roe apporte le meilleur de la cuisine de la ceinture du Pacifique. Ce restaurant intimiste est géré par Kurt Zdesar, le propriétaire du célèbre Chotto Matte de Soho. Pouvant accueillir 60 places, le restaurant présente des murs aux tons gris changeant avec de luxueuses touches patinées, alliant le bois usé et le cuir. Le Poke Bar, à l'entrée du Black Roe, est le point culminant du restaurant où un chef au savoir-faire unique vous servira du poisson cru aux saveurs de l'océan Pacifique avec d'autres fruits de mer et huîtres frais. Placé sur le devant de la scène, le Poke est un plat de poisson mariné de Hawaï aux saveurs fraîches et exotiques. Le Grill prépare des viandes durables, cuites sur un grill au feu de bois de mesquite. Vous pourrez aussi vous détendre au bar, qui propose des cocktails et un grand choix de vins au verre. À l'étage inférieur, vous trouverez une rangée d'aquariums remplis de fruits de mer vivants et de la plus grande fraîcheur, ainsi qu'une grande table du chef pour 20 personnes au maximum, juste à côté de la cuisine ouverte.

Cosy restaurant with a great vibe. Was quite disappointed with the food if I’m honest, to me it was quite tasteless and our fries were undercooked. Definitely not worth the price.

The food was very disappointing, all the dishes had a similar flavour, nothing exciting or adventurous. The lamb chops were labelled as a main dish and cost £18 pound something, and when they came out it was 2 tiny pieces of lamb with some pomegranate seeds, i don't know how you could class that as a main dish?? and same with this dish, pretty uninspiring flavours. If the food was half the price my review would be much more positive but the food we got for the price we paid was unacceptable. The overall vibe of the restaurant was really nice, great decor and a nice atmosphere however the food really let the place down

Was very much unimpressed with Black Roe, been wanting to go for a long time and attended on NYE however four out of my eight dishes I picked were over cooked or burnt which was disappointing. The atmosphere wasn’t that great considering it was New Year’s Eve seemed very quiet didn’t feel like a special occasion the staff were the best thing as they had good service just the food wasn’t that great quality compared to the other restaurants I often go to in the Mayfair area

Dined here on New Years Eve. Absolutely delicious food and cocktails! Highly recommend the whole lobster mac n cheese. Good portions of food beautifully presented. Service was attentive and friendly with a fab atmosphere. Very much looking forward to dining at Black Roe again.

I have been here for my birthday for the last 3 years and this year was disappointing. Food was not as good as previous years and service was pretty poor (food we ordered didn’t turn up, wasn’t offered a desert menu etc).
