   The initial experience when we walked in was not good because we were told there were no tables available even though the dining room was almost completely empty. We went back out to the parking lot and made a reservation online and walked back in. This was followed by food that was disappointing after the positive reviews I read on Facebook. The green beans were really good, the mashed potatoes were decent but a little under seasoned, but the steaks (ribeye and filet) were both not good. The flavor was not great and they were both cooked incorrectly. They were both supposed to be medium rare, but the filet was rare and the ribeye was medium to medium rare. Not what I expected for a $44 and $48 plate. I will say my old fashioned was really good, but it was a little surprising that our drink orders came out after our entrees. I read a lot of really good stuff in local Facebook groups which makes me wonder if our experience is the exception to the normal, but I don’t think we will be returning and I wouldn’t recommend it based on our experience.

   Once again, Blackhawk Creek continues to be the best restaurant in the area. Great steaks, seafood, and even chicken. We were celebrating a Birthday and our favorite server Aria was busy getting ready for a big concert the next night. Not to worry, the rest of the staff took over and made the night enjoyable and topped off with their great cheesecake and bread pudding.

   We have become regulars at this very special place. The food, whether it’s light fare like burgers and salads or the amazing steak, salmon, or chicken is first rate and delicious. They have their own hydroponic lettuce, etc. that make their food unique and first rate. Don’t forget to try the Cheesecake for dessert as it’s the best you’ll find in East Texas! In addition they have an outside venue now with live music/concerts as well as comedy performances on special nights. Follow them on Facebook for updates. One of the best places in East Texas for sure!

   The best steak I've had in years, not your typical steakhouse. The green beans were cooked to perfection and the potatoes were outstanding. To top off the cook was only 21 years old and very talented.

   Fabulous food here. It was admittedly steak night and their filet is one of the best in ETX. Sides were meh, but outstanding piece of beef. You don't come here for ambiance, although it's not offputting.

   This was an out of the box experience. Our server, Aria was excellent. She made us feel at home and treated us like she knew us. The salad was very delicious, the steak was just right, the bread pudding reminded me of my grandmothers, and the green beans had a very nice flavor. We definitely recommend this restaurant to everyone. Come check it out and ask for Aria.

    We had the steak and salmon. Salmon was excellent.. fresh mashed potatoes.. the green beans were fresh and delicious.. the Ribeye was very good. It was priced fairly. My only critique would be to add a dimmer switch on the lighting.. all in all, was very enjoyable.
