Blacklock is a modern version of the Great British chophouse. Set in an old electricity substation on the site of London"s oldest meat market. We take the best meat in the country from the award-winning farmer and butcher Philip Warren in Cornwall. We cook chops simply over our real charcoal grill with a little help from vintage Blacklock irons and serve it all up alongside cocktails that give back and wine on tap in our atmospheric subterranean chop mecca. On Sundays we serve a Roast almost as good as Mum's.

We have limited spaces for Walk-ins, so we encourage booking in advance to avoid disappointment during busy times.

First time going to the Blacklock City with my partner for our anniversary the Sunday roast was absolutely delicious, the white chocolate cheesecake was very tasty. I would recommend to anyone who hasn’t been yet.

Me & my wife went which we do at least once a month unfortunately my wife didn’t feel too good & we had to leave before our roast was served! But staff kindly packed it all up to takeaway which we had later that evening & was amazing thank you so much xx

Not only was the food fantastic, but the atmosphere the waitress and the whole experience was second to none. Highly recommended and my family and I will definitely be returning very soon.

The service we had pre-meal was very good (online), however, the service in the restaurant was very poor. The waitor was quite grumpy and rude throughout the meal and seemed fed-up to be serving us. Other than that it was good.

First experience of Blacklock and wasn't disappointed, 3 of us had the all in roast at £27 each, 2 had the Angus beef special .. Lots of trimmings and I ordered a couple of Cauli cheese which was amazing,all of it was fabulous! will definitely be returning. Service was good and can recommend the lemon drop cocktails. The only downside was not enough room at the bar to wait for your table , the rest of it was all great. We went to Blacklock in the city .

Lamb chop was served raw. My partner noticed this and immediately told me to spit the food out. Kindly, the waiter placed another order. We did however have to request for this to be removed from the bill prior to paying.

Busy Thursday lunch so was pretty noisy but steak, bacon chop and sides all excellent. Primitivo too. Excellent value and service spot on

Difficult to fault overall - food and service was very good. Minor complaint is the lack of reasonably priced wines.
