Blacklock a modern version of the Great British chophouse. Set in an old electricity substation on the site of London"s oldest meat market. We take the best meat in the country from the award-winning farmer and butcher Philip Warren in Cornwall. We cook chops simply over our real charcoal grill with a little help from vintage Blacklock irons and serve it all up alongside cocktails that give back and wine on tap in our atmospheric subterranean chop mecca. On Sundays we serve a Sunday Roast almost as good as Mum's.

We have limited spaces for Walk-ins, so we encourage booking in advance to avoid disappointment during busy times.

Great atmosphere in a lower ground floor setting, tables although tight juxtaposed so not aware of neighbouring table. Food was really excellent - sharing dish at £27 a head including nice starters, amazing value Couldn't fault it and primitivo wine great value too at bit over 30 pounds

We waited 1h+ to be served! Spoke to the waiter about it she ignored it. Only a 2nd waiter actually did something and we had to pack our food away as we couldn’t eat .. our time was up for other commitments.. it is unacceptable to wait this long and yet be charged for service charge! Even though the meat was good we couldn’t not really savour it.

Gravy and vegetables very good. Quality of the beef and pork loin very good. They should give slightly bigger slices of meat for the price you pay. Definitely you don't need a Yorkshire pudding that big.

Food as always excellent, skinny chops various kinds, gravey was to die for and chips were just an added bonus. As it was my birthday I managed to squeeze in some of their delicious cheesecake though couldn't manage the full portion. Waiter was lovely and he celebrated my birthday with shots . Can't fault this place will come back again and again and again

If you like chops and a good stiff drink this is the place for you. Great food and value for London
