Blacklock is a modern version of the Great British chophouse. Set in an old electricity substation on the site of London"s oldest meat market. We take the best meat in the country from the award-winning farmer and butcher Philip Warren in Cornwall. We cook chops simply over our real charcoal grill with a little help from vintage Blacklock irons and serve it all up alongside cocktails that give back and wine on tap in our atmospheric subterranean chop mecca. On Sundays we serve a Roast almost as good as Mum's.

We have limited spaces for Walk-ins, so we encourage booking in advance to avoid disappointment during busy times.

    Loved the All In offer, generous portions of nicely cooked meat. I was also really pleased that they responded to my request for a quiet table and we were put in a lovely corner away form any speakers as I am hearing impaired.

    The food was outstanding; Pig's head on toast was banging with flavour. Ribeye and Rump cap with Black lock gravy is pure gold! Topping the food was the service, so I am picking Blacklock City over the other outlets for my next steak out. Andrea was great and made the dining experience very enjoyable. She is the best restaurant hostess in London, and Blacklock is lucky to have her. Also, a shout-out to Oliver as well; he was great! Blacklock City, you ROCK!!

    Overall a reasonably enjoyable experience. Service generally good. Not particularly cheap as the sides quickly add up. I would visit again though am in no hurry to

    Superb as usual. First time outside of Sunday lunch and it did not disappoint. Superb steak, great wine choices, ambience great and service on the ball as usual.
