Blacklock Shoreditch is set an old furniture factory in the heart of London’s East End. Expect the usual highest quality meat from Phillip Warren in Cornwall for unbeatable value and always lots of fun.

On Sundays it's our award winning Sunday Roasts, almost as good as Mum’s.

When food is priced per 100g and they quote £22 for a filet steak and you enquire what weight the filet will be and they quote you 180g to 220g then you would expect to receive a substantial piece of meat and to be charged £40 to £46. That was what I expected to pay and was happy with that. What came out was the smallest cut of beef I have ever eaten which could have weighed no more than 100g. I was charged £22 which is consistent with the weight brought out but not what I wanted for my meal. As all our food came together I was not prepared to eat on my own by sending it back so ate it but it wholly unsatisfying and I finished before everyone else. Disappointed.

Had the All in (like I do every time). The chops were succulent and cooked to perfection. The bread at the bottom was, as always, freaking delicious! Sides of Kale and Parmesan (with enough parmesan to negate the health proprieties of the kale), Winter slaw (lovely acidity to cut through the richness of the meat) and coal roasted beets (great combination of smoky beets, smooth goats curd and strong grated horseradish). All of them compliment the meat. What did steal the show for me however, and hear me out, was the barbecue cauliflower chop. All garlicky and charred and delicious. Service was impeccable. The right amount of attentiveness. Banter was good. Overall, a charming lunch in a bloody good restaurant.

Why allow reservation at 8.00PM when there's almost nothing left to order and rush to close at 9.30?

Great food - we got the sirloin option and this was delicious and very good portion! Excellent service. Cheesecake was lovely too! The lager was excellent! Known as one of best sunday roast for a reason! Good price too!

The food was really great, everything was really delicious. We were a bit disappointed with the service. Our order has been take in almost 45 min after we arrived, the drinks came in 30 min, the mains in 45 after the starters. The restaurant mixed our order with the table next to us so we’ve been served with the starters that we’ve not order (but I should admit that this was not included to our final bill! Thanks for this!). At the end when I paid the bill I’ve noticed that we’ve been overcharged (this was super small, only £2, but we did not complain at all as we got more food than we’ve order actually). Overall, great food, wish it was a bit better and faster service.
