   I was there for New Year’s Eve. Food was excellent but basically it’s a big bar so it is a little loud. If you want someplace quiet this is not the place to go. I sat at the bar and had very fast and good service from the two ladies doing the bartending for New Year’s Eve. They were fabulous & made great recommendations for food. They have an outdoor terrace, which you can see a view of the river. Keep in mind this is tempered by the fact that it was New Year’s Eve and they were sold out I believe so it was very full and noisy.

   Great experience should of been more food options/ things with more carbs since people are drinking maybe fries or somthing around that nature

   Went to stay at ALoft and try their restaurant on NYE. Paid $100 for a meal voucher to go with the room. Early for our reservation and we're sat immediately. Waiter told us multiple times that he got called in and wasn't happy about it. Where the real unhappiness was is when we saw the menu and they were only serving appetizers. That should have been told to us up front. Thankfully we could use that voucher on drinks as well so we didn't waste the whole voucher. Waiter was disinterested in us and the night. Couldn't even tell us if they offered any desserts. Had to come back to tell us they had no desserts. Had trouble leaving because tables were so close together. Not a good experience.

   Went to Blue Violet for NYE. Had a great time! Food was delicious and service was great. A little slow but it was busy. Wish the music was a little more varied but Will definitely return next year!

   Food was great. There is a real Chef who knows exactly what he’s doing. The menu is simple but everything on it is a hit.

   We went for dinner the night before (no reservation needed) as well as brunch, which we reserved through OpenTable. The servers, bartenders and hostesses were all fantastic on both occasions. For brunch, well...we waited an hour to be served! To be fair, we did wind up arriving 45 minutes earlier than our reservation (not on purpose...we didn't realize we'd be able to check out of the hotel using the app and shoot right up to the roofbar...) I'm sure it was just a timing issue, but still...an hour for eggs, potatoes and biscuits seems excessive. The food and ambience were good and I'd say average value for what we got and considering the area (Providence). The bloody mary was a bit heavy on the horseradish, but that may be a local culture thing I'm not aware of (we are NOT locals haha). Overall, pleased with both experiences. We would happily return next time we visit Providence.

   Very limited menu and hours or operation were odd. We were looking good for breakfast at 900 and they didn't open till 10. Then when we did get there the menu was too frilly for our tastes.
