   The service was disappointing. Empty water, empty drinks, had to ask for soy sauce, cutlery, just a lot of misses. Had to flag down server on multiple occasions. We seemed pretty much ignored the whole experience. Food was served before we had all the proper dining ware. One of our chairs was kicked four times by staff as they cut the corner. We were two adults and two kids out the door for $1100 (HST free). Not horrible cost wise. Youngest had the wagyu flight. Was not that great; better experiences elsewhere. The sushi was good but nothing special. The o-toro tartare was delicious. The burger was an 8/10 according to my oldest. The Aussie ribeye was excellent. The broccolini was raw, the gratin was excellent. Fries and baked potato had no complaints. When considering similarly priced steak places, I would rank this very low compared to others in the area. This will not be a choice for us for future visits considering what else is to offer in the downtown core of Toronto. We would not recommend but perhaps you may have a better experience than us.

   We were there during happy hour. It wasn’t busy at all but each drink I ordered took more than 10 minutes to be delivered… we were sitting 5 feet away from the bar. Servers were standing around. I like their happy hour but don’t think I would go back. For a higher end place the service was less than sub par.

   Service wasn’t attentive, we had to repeatedly ask for our water glass to be refilled. We ordered several dishes of sushi/maki/sashimi and had to ask for soya sauce a few times because I guess they don’t want to be too liberal with pouring the soya sauce. We ordered cocktails and wine by the glass. We weren’t asked if we wanted another glass but really $35 for a 5oz glass of Pinot is a much. A great to dine if you are on an expense account.

   We had a Holiday celebration for a group of six and couldn’t have chosen a better place! The appetizers were amazing. Best sushi platter ever and both the filet mignon and the sirloin were melting in our mouths. For dessert, we ordered profiteroles and it was beautiful and delicious. I highly recommend Blue Bovine, as it’s now one of my favourites!

   The food was decent. The dumplings ended up more like little tacos, and the octopus was overly salty. However, the service was great, and the sound level was not too loud, which made for a nice experience.

    Our server Andy was terrific!! He was very knowledgeable about everything we asked about. The restaurant is large but very welcoming. It is modern yet very cozy. The food was fantastic and they have the tiniest details down to a science. Something as small as serving the mini cheese popovers warm and whipped herb butter that is in a small bowl with a cloth napkin that is place on a mini wood board
