Located adjacent to Stoatin Brae, Blue Stem’s guest enjoy the same breathtaking views from one of the highest point in Kalamazoo County. Take in the scenery on the beautiful outdoor patio while listening to the running waterfall and warming yourself next to the fire. Of course, the scenery is amazing, but the food is just as good. The modern American flavors feature classic dishes with a twist. Add in the full service bar and warm atmosphere and you will see why Blue Stem is one of the best restaurants to visit in the Kalamazoo/Battle Creek area.

Third time trying this place and it is three stikes and you are out! Same poor service as the past two times, this time accompanied by a limp lettuce ceasar salad, overcooked "medium-rare" burger, very stale carrot cake for desert, and a barely warm cup of coffee. At this time of year, with the sun setting well before dinner time, the stunning views this place has to offer in the summer are absent so even the atmosphere didn't offer any appeal. Not coming back.

Beautiful view!!! Very good service! Very good food!! Really enjoyed ourselves. We just discovered you about a week and half ago. Will be back again in the spring!

Our party of 6 genuinely enjoyed the experience. The service was friendly and prompt, the food was good and the atmosphere was great. I would recommend the restaurant to all.

Our first time here, and it was enjoyable. Great location/view. Good food. There were a number of staff standing around the bar who were quite loud.

We had a great first visit to Blue Stem. We took advantage of the patio on a beautiful afternoon. Kristin’s service was spot on, as was her wine recommendation. We look forward to going again!

The server was very good. The service was good halfway through, then she got really busy, so it slowed down considerably. I do not blame the server for that. I feel there wasn’t enough help. The ambiance would have gotten a higher rating, but the noise level from other patrons brought that score down. As soon as we walked in, it was extremely loud and continued during our entire meal. The food was good.
