With one of the most picturesque dining settings in Coronado, the Boathouse is situated on the water, where you can enjoy the romantic views of Glorietta Bay. The iconic cupola-adorned landmark was built in 1887 as a design prototype for the Hotel del Coronado located across the street.

Bluewater Boathouse may be reached by water taxi, the Coronado Bay bridge or via the Silver Strand. The upstairs lounge host Happy Hour, Sunday through Thursday from 3:00pm till 6:00pm and dinner service Friday and Saturday at 4:00pm. Banquet rooms are available for day or evening rehearsal dinners, wedding receptions, corporate events and military functions. Surrounded by historical character, stunning views of the Bay and a pristine fresh menu, Bluewater Boathouse is a must see culinary destination.

Unfortunately we were disappointed with the food. The artichoke and crab dip was tasteless, the Alaskan crab legs tasted fishy, the rockfish was served cold. The service was adequate. It was our first and last visit there.

The waiter was very helpful knowing the menu and the wines. We were celebrating our anniversary and were given the opportunity to go all the way up to the top balcony. Just a wonderful experience and learning the restaurants history in correlation to the Hotel Del was wonderful.

Took my Wife here for her Birthday and it was great! All the dishes tasted excellent and they even treated my Wife with a Birthday dessert!

Good variety of food choices in the menu with an obvious title towards more seafood selection but the steak was great as well as the sides and those that had seafood enjoyed their meal.

My husband’s pasta dish was bland and just ok. He was very disappointed. However our waiter was very attentive and apologized for our meal taking longer than usual to be served.
