Our waiter was less than interested in our custom. Couldn’t understand with blackcurrant MiWadi was, acted as seeing if the bar had it was a major inconvenience to him. Thought it was quite odd that we received the garlic bread starter (which was the only food item we enjoyed) was served before we were even offered a drink. I myself work as a restaurant manager and was appalled to witness my partner and I’s, 7oz Medium Well Fillet steaks be served to our table no more than 5 minutes after placing the order. These steaks had clearly been sitting under heat lamps, previously cooked and closely resembled a small piece of braised beef rather than a fillet steak. It was extremely dry and tasteless, quite like sawdust infact! No member of staff came back to check on us during our meal (which is extremely bad practice when advertised as a “steakhouse”). I struggled to eat some of the chips and left a full plate. My partner agreed that his steak was in the same state as mine (dry and sad) but was too hungry after a long day of shopping in Dublin. When our waiter eventually approached our table to clear away our plates, he was completely oblivious to my plate and I had to tell him it was disgraceful. He apologised, said he will show the kitchen and will see if it can be removed from the bill! Not even offer of something else! I left Boeuf and Frites hungry! We were not approached by any other member of staff or management. This was such an extreme let down as we had been anticipating and so excited around the hype online surrounding this steakhouse. It gives off fast food rather than steakhouse being completely honest. Staff and management are very obviously unaware of restaurant service and need to seriously make some changes! Maybe our experience with the steak itself was a once off but it was handled desperately by the staff! We will not be returning. I ended up going around the corner to a well known fast food restaurant after leaving as I was that hungry!
