5 wines - 5 courses (the last quite light) - $100 We'll have five wines from all around France paired with 4 delicious, adventurous dishes (crab! duck! venison!) and a final wee taste of something with a delicious sweet Gewurztraminer. We'll have Bombolo's cozy atmosphere and Bombolo's attractive and welcoming staff. But - best of all - we'll have Thomas Meunier of Authentique Vin. Loire Valley native, one time inhabitant of Carrboro, importer of delicious, sustainably farmed wines from small, multi generational wineries all over France, he will bring us stories of these wines that deeply reflect their terroirs and makers. It can feel difficult to come out on a Monday night. But it's not every Monday night that can bring all of us together for such an evening of conviviality. Please help us to welcome Thomas back to our town, and to enjoy yourselves at the same time.

Three of us dined early to try the early Sunday burger special. We know the regular menu is exceptional and therefore had high expectations. Chef-owner Garrett did not disappoint. I enjoyed the best burger I’ve had in ages. All three of us noticed the exceptional medley of flavors. Whenever you have a taste for a class A burger and fries—this is it! Go Bombolo.

Excellent original culinary experience. Beautiful, delicious recipes were memorable—baked oysters, sweet, tangy sauce with a little toasty bite of bread crumbs; the greens and croutons in the Caesar salad were fantastic—like no other area restaurant; the seafood ravioli, the sauce the pasta were so fresh and flavorful; both the cardamom cheesecake and the Bombolo chocolate mousse pie w hazelnut crumbs were light, smooth and creamy and the hot fresh French press coffee added aroma and a perfect ending. We splurged tonight including sharing in a rich bottle of Bordeaux wine. Likely one of our finest, most festive meals for a long time. Merci Mille fois, Bombolo chefs and excellent service team! Fabulous date night!

Food was great. Service could be better. We don't need the staff to do a song and dance. It would be appreciated if we weren't made to feel like a nuisance for wanting to spend money.

Hidden gem in an unassuming location. The food out punches its wait. Reasonably priced for the quality. Extensive wine list. Interesting and special menu. We enjoyed our Valentine’s dinner immensely.

Delightful menu, wonderful food, great service! What a treat-- from the cocktail to the appetizers, dinner, and dessert, everything was thoughtfully made! Food was delicious and different from the standard fare. I highly recommend this restaurant!!
