   Was really excited to come in based off the pictures and videos I saw online. When we arrived for our reservation we were sat immediately, (the restaurant and tables were a lot smaller than expected.) We ordered to drinks that came out at a good time and started with the charcuterie board for $32 which didn’t even come with cheese. The meats were amazing along with the bread, but it came with three pickles and a tiny squirt of Dijon mustard. Not what we expected. We ordered the steak and frites, it took about 30 min to receive our entree, which ended up being okay, and a little hard to chew. We stacked our plates and waited for our server to come. We were going to order to dessert, but felt kind of ignored and decided we just wanted to leave. The place looks cool but I wouldn’t recommend for dinner, maybe a quick drink, but it felt crowded and claustrophobic.

   Decided to try this place after reading several reviews. Always happy to see new places opening in SF. The good: the place is small and unique with high ceilings. The waitstaff is prompt and professional arm while this may seem odd, it is not always true - the tap water was good! The not so good: The food. With the standout exception being the croque madame which was truly amazing, the rest was, at best, meh. The endive salad was overdressed and too cold, the chicken and speck croquettes were creamy but uninspired and by speck I think they mean a speck as in a small amount os speck and the type of meat. We also ordered the sole which was fine but again for $42, it would have been nice to have something more inspired other than butter drowned filet with a smash of spinach underneath. All this to say maybe we ordered wrong or there was a fluke in the kitchen or that we don’t like French bistro food…I think this may be a better bet for brunch.

   Food is superb. Small space with “music” so loud conversation was difficult.

   Met with an old friend at the bar over lunch. Open and airy space, relatively small but very comfortable seating. Service was great, food was better. Goo for the Salad Lyonnaise if they have it, as well as the madeleines for dessert

   The service felt disorganized from the start—we waited longer than expected to be seated despite having a reservation, and it took a while for us to be greeted and for our drink order to be taken. Unfortunately, the delays continued, with over an hour passing before our burger arrived. The French wine list was underwhelming, with some pours bordering on undrinkable. With a revamp, there could be much better options available. As for the food, it was mediocre at best. The ingredients didn’t feel high quality, giving an industrial, processed impression. While the burger had some nice toppings, the meat itself was rough in texture and lacking in flavor. That said, the vibe was still fun. The place had great energy, and the loud music made it a solid spot for a lively night out—just don’t come expecting a top-tier dining experience.

   The service at Bon Delire was exceptional. We happened to be there on a very busy Saturday afternoon, but the staff anticipated our table being ready ahead of our reservation, which seems really rare these days. The food portions are a bit on the small size, given how high the prices are.

   Great atmosphere. Great food. Incredible staff and the owner might even serve you and makes you feel welcome. We sat at the bar it was very comfy and had great interaction with bar staff!! Go soon it’s hard to get a reservation!
