Bonfire Restaurant & Bar is located within The Cove Lakeside Resort in West Kelowna BC. The 90 seat restaurant offers an upscale casual dining menu that features "Cuisine of the Sun". “Regional ingredients from the Okanagan and BC blended with flavors and reflections of the Southwest” Cuisine of the Sun is inspired by the flavors and cooking styles from the Sonoran, Mojave and Chihuahuan Desert regions. Exotic and local ingredients combine through classical and rustic cookery techniques to create refreshing, bright, colorful dishes. Spice is used to enhance flavor rather than to produce heat. Our chef forages the local farms and markets to source the freshest ingredients focusing on delivering a true “farm to table” experience. The restaurant is complimented by a 35 seat lounge and a 50 seat patio overlooking the shores of Lake Okanagan. We were quite disappointed with the quality and choice of brunch items on New Year's Day. We expected an omelette station perhaps, toast with jams and fresh fruit, perhaps pancakes and fruit toppings. There were croissants and apple turnovers, which were okay but more variety would have been nice. The fruit salad was lovely. The scrambled eggs were not hot, even though the element was lit and I had stirred them around to get a hot area. The roasted potatoes were quite good and the sausage and bacon was fine. All in all, the restaurant is a beautiful place, with a view that can't be beat. The staff was friendly and attentive and our waitress was wonderful. We thought the value for our money was below average and it was disappointing that we did not get any drinks included with our meal. Although we did not leave hungry, it was not a meal that I would recommend to anyone.

I was disappointed with my usual fare of the Classic Eggs Benedict. The serving was smaller than before - the English muffin was much smaller in size, and the piece of back bacon, which it didn't look like - more like a piece of sliced ham - which was too thin. Eggs were great and hollandaise sauce way too scrimpy. In the past hash browns were served, but this time small potato wedges were used instead along with tomato sauce - ugh! . If the restaurant is going to serve smaller portion then don't raise the price. My friends did enjoy the overall experience though, but not too sure if we want to come back. The noise level can greatly be diminished by carpeting the area.

Wonderful view of the lake and delicious appetizers. We had the tuna poke and calamari. Nice place for a family dinner.

Oh my goodness!!!! seriously the best experience ever! The set the table all romantically for our anniversary, they had complimentary champagne, and they gave us a flower centrepiece to take home! the staff was just AMAZING!! I can not say it enough this place was amazing, the food was incredible, and the macaroons !!!!!!!! ok must try this place

I ordered the club house sandwich and it was terrible, my husband had the fish and chips which was really good but for the price the 2 small pieces of fish which was more like fish sticks was really over priced as well. Not really good value but a beautiful setting.

Very convenient and a beautiful location, but the space itself is right next to the resort pool. Staff was very slow and didn’t seem to know what was going on at all. Food was fine - nothing spectacular.

After waiting over 45 minutes for our food after we ordered, there were still no signs of food arriving. The restaurant was only about 15% full on a Thursday night. The server didn’t even come to check in with us to tell us the food was coming soon. Nothing! We finally decided to leave because the kids were starving!

There's room for improvement on the food at dinner. - I ordered a half rack of ribs and received three ribs. That's not a half rack by any standard. - I didn't like the beans that were served with this plate. -'Naked' calamari appetizer was served breaded - The roasted onion dip was great Breakfast was very good.
