Live bass and piano music set an amazing scene for a dinner date for two. Our server Kasha was very informative and attentive. A manager came by when we ordered a dessert that was no longer available so he gave us a free other desert and offered a free drink. Above and beyond. Food tasted great and was exactly as described. Ultimately the bill came in lower than it usually does at a restaurant of this magnitude. Would highly suggest others come to books and records.

Had a wonderful Valentines Day dinner. Great service and ambiance. The live music was very nice. The main dishes were cooked to perfection and very flavorful! Best filet I have had! The beet salad was very good as well. The Shrimp bao and the Vietnamese coffee cheesecake were not particularly good, and the tiramisu was tasty but had strawberries and no coffee flavor... so how is that tiramisu?? It was a lovely, memorable evening overall though and we plan to go back again.

First time for us at this restaurant. We did a pre-fix Valentine’s Day menu, food and cocktails was great, service excellent as well as the ambiance. Looking forward to returning and trying the regular menu.

Happy hour is the best. We has the chicken bao; charred broccoli, mac and cheese, the pineapple desert. The chicken bao was good, it was drier than I expected meaning I thought there would be a sauce on it. My partner loved the charred broccoli. I wished we has ordered the brussel sprouts. The mac and cheese was to die for. Flavor was unique and the bread crumbs added a nice bite. The pineapple desert was delicious and enough for two. The shortbread crust waa exactly how I like it, buttery and crisp. Its nice the dishes are all shareable. The menu is not overwhelming so they can concentrate on the food ls that they serve. We will be back with friends.

What a fantastic dining experience. This restaurant combines an exceptional menu consisting of a creative blend of small, medium, and larger plates to share or enjoy on your own with a warm welcoming ambiance. The night we dined at Books and Records featured a jazz guitarist accompanied by an upright bass…I mean really!! What a great evening…
