“Arguably the best oyster bar of any white tablecloth restaurant in New Orleans” per the Times-Picayune, Dickie Brennan’s Bourbon House is all about local seafood. If it’s not in season, you won’t find it on the menu. Enjoy authentic New Orleans dishes and oysters on the half-shell in a lively atmosphere overlooking Bourbon Street.

Dickie Brennan and his culinary team have created an incredible menu of classic New Orleans dishes complemented by new favorites. Signature favorites include Gulf fish on the Halfshell and New Orleans style Barbeque Shrimp.

Bourbon is a central focus at the bar with 200 bourbons on the list. Bourbon House is the perfect place for a specialty cocktail or a straight pour of that hard to find small-batch whiskey.

Great ambience and service, sophisticated New Orleans decor. If you’re into bourbon this is the place for you. An excellent extensive selection of bourbon at reasonable prices. The shrimp and grits and Gumbo were very good and authentic. The fried catfish, oyster, shrimp platter was average. Overall very nice dining experience and decent value for the money.

Place was empty on President’s Day at 630. We enjoyed charbroiled oysters to start. A half dozen for $19 was a good price. For dinner I enjoyed the Gulf fish which was Drum blackened. My wife had a fried shrimp platter that was also good. Service was great.

The restaurant just opened. My food was cold. The bbq shrimp appetizer was the best of our items but the others really lacked flavor. One of the least enjoyable meals of our trip. Server was great and very attentive.

Had lunch with my fiancé at Bourbon House. My second time eating there, her first. The service was exceptional. The bourbon drink selections did not disappoint, I went with my favorite :old Fashioned" first and then had another that was very good. The food was great, especially the char-grilled oysters. Overall had a very good experience again and will be returning.

The fresh oysters are the only thing good here. The rest of the food is bland no care about the taste. A huge disappointment. Apparently they were short a bartender so it took a long time to get a drink order. It's in a great location bordered by hopping oyster bars. Hard to believe the food here is so blah.

Would not recommend this restaurant if you’re visiting the French Quarter. We were disappointed in the dining experience there. From the moment we walked in, the hostess staff didn’t greet us; the server was not skilled and failed to deliver drinks and food in a timely manner. We waited way toooo long for our food. The menu is so limited, was disappointed in the selection of their fresh seafood choice. The food was on par with any seafood or steak restaurant franchise. Nothing special. There are other amazing food establishments to check out in NOLA. The $200.00 spent for three to dine with no liquor was too much for what we received.
