   This was the best steak that I ever had and I’ve been all around the world. I don’t know what the chef does to these steaks but they’re amazing. I had ribeye and my wife had filet. Just amazing

   My first Bourbon Steak experience was at their Miami location over 10 years ago, so I was quite excited when they opened a NYC location at the Essex House. I have now had several occasions to eat in both the main dining room and lounge. Food is fantastic— especially the steaks, but everything on the menu is great. Service is always excellent: attentive with everything arriving to the table as expected. Small nit: the Bourbon list is decent, but it could be expanded given the branding and based on what other restaurants offer. But overall, always an outstanding experience.

   Every year, my friend and I participate in restaurant week. I saw Bourbon Steak on the list and made a reservation and boy was I not wrong with my choice. The ambience was nice and cozy our two waiters Christian and John were spectacular. The food was divine and the drinks were delicious and let’s not forget the warm beignets with chocolate mousse yum-o. I highly recommend and I will definitely be returning. Next time I’ll bring my mom for her upcoming birthday. FYI, if you go do yourself a favor and order their mashed potatoes, it is to die for.

   Everything was great; decor, food and staff. Skirt steak was delicious and I loved the beignets for dessert.

   The restaurant is located in an excellent location . Service was good . Food quality was average and it is not what I expect from a 5 star restaurant like J.W Marriott

   I LOVE this place. Went to the Nashville location and was thrilled to see we have one here in NYC! The staff were so attentive to the allergies at our table, and went the extra mile to make the birthday we were celebrating very special. At this price point, this restaurant is definitely a treat, but I can’t wait for the next time we have a reason to splurge. We’ll be back!

   We arrived at the restaurant and were promptly seated. It was half an hour before our waiter took a cocktail order. Most of us ordered their signature old fashioned and waited another 20 minutes to be told their smoker wasn’t working. Ten minutes later we got our drinks, an hour after arriving. We finally had to ask to place an order and after about 20 more minutes finally did. When your name is Bourbon and Steak you’d think you’d smash it in both but half of our group of 8 got food that was lukewarm at best. It was quite disappointing and we won’t be going back!

    Amazing experience. Christian GM made it a great experience for my VIP clients. Winning overall experience. Will be back.
