                                                      We went to Bouvier for NYE's dinner. Service was excellent, a bit slow, but they took good care of us. The appetizer (crostini) was super tasty. Main courses were a hit and a miss: the wagyu steak frites was excellent and the sauce was perfect. My wife's coq au vin was...welll... not a coq au vin: a piece of chicken breast with a wine based sauce, not the tender and moist chicken stewed in wine she was hoping for. Drinks were good though the wine list is somewhat limited and needs help. Not much they can do for the space but you're really in the lobby of the hotel Le Meridien and our main view was the elevator bank. Fun on NYE but lackluster otherwise. We felt they gave too much space to the garage bays next door which limited the lobby and they split it 50/50 between the reception area and the bar/restaurant. On the plus side, the chairs were super comfy and we loved the mid-modern contemporary look.

                                                      I hate to give this review because if you look at my previous Restaurant reviews, overall, I am very pleased with 90% of the open table restaurants we dine at. Also, this is a new hotel a new restaurant so I’m sure they have kinks to work out. We were so excited to stay at this new hotel and dine at this fabulous French restaurant for my birthday on New Year’s Eve. When we found out that the restaurant was located in the lobby of the hotel and only had basically eight tables, we were very disappointed. Also, it didn’t even look like a restaurant, it looked like a lobby bar.  my husband ordered his steak rare plus and it came out medium well. Also, for the price of the steak it was very, very small and looked like a gray hockey puck. They eventually told him that it was such a small steak that they would just recommend him ordering something else. He ordered the salmon and he said it was good. I was so excited to eat a Wagyu burger with my favorite Gruyère cheese on it and when I got it, it did not have Gruyere it had cheddar.  the only white staff were the bartenders and so you can imagine that they were really busy on New Year’s Eve serving the people at the bar. We waited and waited and waited for water or any drink that we ordered. Also, when our food was wrong, we waited and waited to talk to somebody about it. I hate that we were disappointed, but we were. Hope that these problems get fixed and really hope that they put the restaurant on a different floor to make it special.
