   This was my second visit to Bouzy. The meal was fabulous. The absolute best baked oysters ever! The 5-spiced Carpaccio was outstanding as well. The Bao buns were just okay. Ordered a French Blonde Martini that was perfect and lovely. Unfortunately the evening ended on a negative note. My husband ordered a regular old fashioned cocktail with Angel’s Envy Rye (server recommended) declining the brown butter old fashioned with Angel’s Envy Bourbon on the cocktail menu for $18. When the bill came, they charged him $32 for the regular one. When we asked about it very discreetly, the server was also shocked and went to check on it and was told by the manager, the shot of Angel’s Envy Rye was $28 with an up charge of $4 for the old fashioned. So with the tip - this simple cocktail was a whopping $38.40. This is absurd. We did not argue it but my husband is a serious bourbon drinker, owning multiple “high end” varieties that are difficult to obtain. Angel’s Envy is not one of them. I suppose it is on us for not asking and assuming an old fashioned would be charged similarly to the one on the menu considering it was the same spirits brand. Knowing this, it would make me question going back. We had such a lovely evening and being up charged on this cocktail seemed like a blatant screw you for not ordering the “specialty” drink. Additionally, Bouzy did not provide a bourbon/Whiskey menu with prices.

   1st time dining at Bouzy and it was for Valentine’s Day. Everything was amazing from the server to the food and drinks. My only complaint is that the tables were so close together that I didn’t feel like I had an intimate dinner with my spouse without hearing both tables conversations on either side of us. I had to squeeze in and out of my seat in between the tables so that I wouldn’t bump into the other tables or other guests when going to the bathroom (If your wondering, I’m an average size female, not overweight whatsoever). If they could take out a couple of tables, the atmosphere would feel more intimate.

   So disappointed. Ww went for tea and waited 45 minutes without being served. No one filled water glasses or asked if we were ok. They boxed the food and we took it home. I hope they get it right soon.

   I come regularly to Bouzy (mainly for drinks and appetizers/snacks) a couple times a month and I am never disappointed! I love sitting in the cellar as it’s not as load as the front dining room and easier to hear things. The service is always great, the drinks always great, and the food I’ve tried has been great.

    Great drinks and great music but we were sat right next to the open kitchen area and it seemed like they were burning all the food they made because the entire place had a smoky film in the air and we left that place smelling like smoke and burnt food…
