   We are delighted that Cognac has recently opened in our neighborhood. It is a lovely interior with banquettes and well-spaced tables. The staff is welcoming and professional. The food is French bistro - hot onion soup perfect on a cold winter's day, omelets, salads, quiche and sandwiches.

   I had Steak frites and it was excellent. the meat was soft and cooked to my liking. the ambiance is very nice. the restaurant is new at this location. It was noy easy to find. Despite having the name written on the window, a scaffolding make the sidewalk a bit dark and the restaurant inside is not particularly allows the light to be seen from outside. [ The place next to it has lights outside with a menu written on a blackboard (this one catches your attention)]. The service really needs improvement. it was not easy getting a glass of water refilled. It took forever to catch the attention of a waiter to get the dessert menu . Staff is very nice though, but attention to customers needs to improve.

   The overall meal was just fair. Three of us ordered a Croque Monsieur and they all arrived cold. The ham on the sandwich was minimal. I expect better from a French restaurant. Others in our group ordered the scrambled egg meal. The eggs were delicious and by far the best thing we had. It came with a side of sausage and the sausage was similar to a frozen link that had been reheated. Service was lacking as well. The server apologized at the end of the meal and blamed it on the restaurant being busy. However it didn't appear that busy and we watched her walk by us several times without checking in. I wouldn't return.

   Place is beautiful! Service was very good. They have a very good bar at the entrance. We had a salad and a omelette not so soft how we like it.

   Food was very mediocre. Bland and unseasoned. Prices were too high for the poor quality and taste of the food. Table service was friendly. We made our reservation and were offered a $25 off a $75 purchase. The restaurant refused to honor it, argued with us, and refused to even comp an appetizer. The manager was rigid, unfriendly, and argumentative. We will not be back.

I believe what you are referring to is the InKind credit, as we just opened we weren't set up yet to receive inkind payments and shouldn't have had it live, I do apologize for the misunderstanding and if you are ever in the area and would like to stop I would be happy to offer you the discount on us.

    Regrettably the food was tasteless and the service was unpolished. I have been to the other restaurants which are great but this was awful. So disappointing. The restaurant is beautiful. But that’s it.
