It is a great place to take someone from out-of-town. It is James Beard best restaurant. It is beautiful. The food was delicious.

Had an amazing anniversary dinner at Brewery Bhavana. The food was amazing. We got the chicken curry bao buns, shrimp lo mein and the long pepper beef and all the food was amazing. We also got the roasted banana cake which has definitely improved overall. This was our 3rd or 4th time coming, but a great date night spot.

Our server, Anna, was so incredible to us! Got a beer and a cocktail, both were soooo good! Seafood dumplings perfectly cooked and delicious! I can’t emphasize 5 stars enough. Might be my new favorite restaurant in Raleigh.

We had an excellent dinner at Brewery Bhavana. There were many different food options including Dim Sum and larger plates. We tried the pork & chive shumai, the bao soup dumplings, the crab rangoon and the crab fried rice, which were all fantastic. Love the flavors. I tried two of IPAs which were both great and my wife had the Spicy Green cocktail, which she said was amazing. We live in Fenton and are looking forward to their Fenton restaurant, which should be opening soon.

Duck was a MUST for table of 4. Green beans SLAYYYY. Jake was exceptional!

The beer and food were superb and our server (Shannon) and all the other staff took excellent care of us, which is no small task with two toddlers. She anticipated needs like kids cups and having spicy ingredients on the side for multiple dishes. She also gifted some flowers to our friend based upon the special occasion notes I included. I rarely talk so much about service but Brewery Bhavana really impressed me. The food itself was really excellent. Truly modern and creative interpretations of classic dimsum - but utterly respectful, thoughtful, and incredibly it avoids that dreaded moniker of “fusion” or appropriation. The rice congee, Shu mai, and seafood dumplings were particularly special. And the crab fried rice had a very clever presentation of a thin scrambled egg envelope. It was all so good we came back again the next night with a few more friends and had a great time too. Well worth the visit for a special occasion, even if pricy.

Love going here and the food is great! The Duck Egg rolls are overpriced. I got two small ones (not even 6inches as 1) - cut into 4. The beer was great those. But $15.60 for the egg rolls might need to be reconsidered.

I was disappointed. We waited 45 min after having reservations and prepaying for our food. The hostess walked right passed us and didn’t acknowledge us until after speaking to everyone else just to realize our table was up. Not a good experience at all. first course was cold!

Brewery Bhavana hosted an almost $100 per person Valentine’s Day event (drinks not included) pre sold event -reservation only this year. They let us know that they were running behind upon check in, although just how long they could not and refused to say. Clearly dozens of other groups were told the same thing as there was hardly standing room let alone sitting room. No offer of drinks while we waited or anything other than a sorry for the inconvenience. At least it’s easy to leave and get another table at a “nicer” restaurant on Valentine’s Day. Oddly, there was not a restaurant manager, owner, or obvious person in charge handling any of the disgruntled patrons. The waitstaff and bartenders appeared flustered to say the least. About an hour wait past our “reservation” time, we were finally sat directly in front of the loud kitchen. At least they also sat a group of obnoxious and heavily intoxicated individuals with the last remaining people in the restaurant to seal the ambiance for this “fine dining,” experience. I’ve grown to not expect much from so called higher end Raleigh restaurants, but this was actually surprising how understaffed, poorly run, oversold, or some combination of those described this event. This will be our last time here.
