I’ve was in NOLA in October and had my first experience at Briquette. Came again and had to return for the Creole Gumbo! It’s excellent. Also had the shrimp pasta and loved it. The ambience is perfect. Sydney was fantastic and made the evening special!

So many other places to go to in town, wouldn’t recommend to others visiting. Service was fine, food was uninspiring.

Be careful about ordering meals with options. We ordered the ‘Redfish on the half shell’ ($50) and the waiter asked it if we wanted it ‘loaded’ to which we agreed ($30 additional). When confirming as he left he stated ‘Redfish with all the fixings?’ to which we confirmed, not realizing that phrase meant the Chef’s Special’ with an additional $40 for a lobster tail and scallops. We were able to negotiate a price reduction for the lack of transparency, but be careful on all food ‘suggested options’. Good was good but not outstanding and a very noisy place. Quick appetizer and entree service bout delays on follow-up service.

Awesome restaurant off the beaten path. The filet was the best I’ve ever had and the brussel sprouts were really good. The hash brown casserole was luke-cool when it arrived and a little disappointing. My wife and son had the blackened redfish fish and it was so good they were still talking about it the next morning. My DIL had the creole shrimp pasta and it was wonderful. Don’t forget to save room for the Bundt praline dessert. It was the best out of all our 4 desserts. We all wished we would have ordered that. Overall a great experience and and almost perfect meal.

This feels far from the French Quarter but it really isn’t. It’s few blocks from the river and the big hotels and is a lovely walk. Bottles of wine range in price from mid $30’s to over $200 and there are some excellent bottles. The food is great. We had the pork porterhouse and the blackened redfish with shrimp etouffee. The best was the service. Cidni was our server and she was professional, pleasant, and simply lovely. Go here. It’s one of the best restaurants in the warehouse district.

The salmon with shrimp and crab was delicious and even more enjoyable when accompanied by wine. Husband is not a seafood connoisseur so he had the lemon chicken with capers and pasta and was very pleased. Also paired well with wine. Waiter was great.

Great place for date night or a group. Incredible service and food. We were looking for some great seafood and were very happy with what we got. The menu also has some good looking beef dishes. Was a little loud because the space is big and open. But we’ll definitely go back

Food was okay. The gumbo is served way too thick. Tasty but too much rice. If you pay with a credit card they add the merchant fee to your bill. Cash is a different price. This was not told to us when booking. We paid over $80 in fees. For just an okay visit, I do not need to return.
