From the minds of Adolfo Garcia (Son of a Butcher, Pearl Tavern) and long-time restaurateur, Phil Stefani, comes Broken English Taco Pub. Located on the corner of Michigan Avenue and Lake Street, Broken English is steps away from Millennium Park, and in the center of the new vibrant hotel and residential area.

On the name, Garcia says, “I speak English with my friends, and I often find myself mixing in Spanish words because there are some phrases that simply don’t translate to English. This happens in many other languages and cultures, but that is what makes the name ‘Broken English’ fun – it is part of our daily slang.”

Amazing experience! The restaurant was busy, but the service was wonderful! We got our food quickly. Server was attentive and made sure that we were well taken care of!

The atmosphere is fun, the food amazing and the service is great. The staff is so nice. Trevor always makes us feel welcome when we go there. Definitely can’t wait for our next visit!

The service and atmosphere was perfect for our group & the food was delicious. Our cocktails were well balanced.

It was really good. The service was great and drinks and food both came out quickly and exactly as we had ordered. It was a perfect quick stop before a show at the Chicago Theatre as we were able to get in grab a couple of drinks with our tacos and get out. The Rosemarys baby cocktail was delightful and we tried several types of tacos. I think we both agreed the Al pastor pollo was our favorite. Overall I was happy with the experience and would come back.

Had an early dinner, staff were lovely, quick and helpful when it came to ordering. Great up beat casual eating spot. The food was tasty and good proportion

First time visiting and we were impressed. The guac and tacos were great, as was the service. Was not very crowded for lunch but I suspect very popular for dinner

They don’t serve wine at all. Everything BUT wine. The food was super salty and honestly not worth a dime. Don’t waste your money or time.
