   We went on a double date for Valentines Day. Originally selected this restaurant because they were one of the few that at first glance wasn’t limiting their menu. However a couple days before I received a text message of a limited menu that we weren’t excited about. At the point it was too late to get a reservation at another restaurant. Costumer service was excellent! Beautiful ambiance! The food however was not. I didn’t eat heavy all day just so I would be able to enjoy this meal. Halibut Piccata: The Halibut was overcooked. It would have been perfect otherwise. The Caper sauce over the Mashed Potatoes was the best thing out of everything we ordered. So delicious. Asparagus couldn’t have been anymore overcooked. Absolutely hate overcooked Asparagus, ruins the vegetable. Parpadelle Bolognese: Bland! It was the first full meal I had all day so I ate it anyway but it was the equivalent of Chef Boyardee’s canned lasagna. Lovers special: Filet Migon, no flavor but nothing a little salt and pepper couldn’t help. Lobster, no complaints. Mashed potatoes, well they were mashed potatoes. The Asparagus didn’t come out at first and when we asked he said it didn’t come with it. However the menu that was on the table and sent to us said otherwise. He took the menu and brought out Overcooked Asparagus. We were so underwhelmed by the food that we passed on dessert. The drinks were great! Rosemary Mule and Hibiscus drop. All in I think the limited menu hurt them. There regular menu has some items that look amazing (Vodka pasta, steak bites, Brussel sprouts…) but I don’t know that we’d try it again.

   Dining at Brooklyn Trattoria is always a wonderful experience; service and food. David, Gemma and his staff are great hosts. Highly recommend to everyone!

   We had a delicious Chopped Bleu salad and very tasty house cabernet. The foccacia bread was well made and a nice touch. Entree was the bolognese which was OK. Noodles a bit thick and sauce a bit weak. What stood out was the table we were given. A great location in the restaurant but it was a small, uncomfortable and difficult table to sit at. It seemed this torturous little monster was a stand alone. Service could have been a bit more attentive, although it was a busy night.

   It’s really awesome to see the owner David walking around interacting with everyone and checking in with things- this guy really cares about his customers and workers!

   Excellent food, service, and ambiance. The owner even dropped by our table to check in, and tell us about their new bar space next doo, the RedRoom, we popped in after dinner to check it out-great space but had limited time and could't stay Will come again!

   Attentive staff and the food was excellent. We ordered the mussels and clams appetizer, Cesar salad and the medium rare fillet and tiramisu. The fillet was perfectly cooked, so tender and perfectly seasoned. I love steak and have traveled to Argentina multiple times -to eat steak at Don Julio - dare I say that this steak at Brooklyn Trattoria in Bethany OR - was just as yummy (save me a trip)! We love that David (the owner) came around and talked to us and other diners, such a pleasant experience. We will definitely be back to try other dishes but the fillet will always be on the roster for us.

   Overall great experience. However, the roasted asparagus was 3/4 inch in diameter, woody, tough and chewy.

    It was good. Local and we want to support them. Did not like making a reservation and being put in the back room. Frustrated with asking for a small substitution for bread- being offered greens or asparagus and getting charged - if there is not a substitution, let me know. We were in a back room so we seemed like an after thought. Overall we like to have this option locally and will be back.
