We pay tribute to the rugged individualism of Pensacola’s unique historic cultural significance, specifically its Spanish influence. Real and super-rustic, the kitchen presents Old World cookery at its roots, with all the layers peeled back. Brother Fox utilizes a live-fire approach to cooking almost everything that we serve, from coal-roasted oysters to Carne Asada for two, served with hot tortillas. Our beautiful outdoor seating sets the stage for a casual meet up with friends for a glass of wine from regions near and far, carafes of Bathtub Gin or Sangrias from the bar. Inside, the cuisine and casually elegant design are the embodiment of a “neighborhood” spot that caters to visitors and residents alike, for special occasions, celebrations, and some of the finest wood-fired cuisine in Pensacola. Imagine food with soul, both exciting and traditional, in a breezy setting, right in the heart of Old East Hill.

Two of us had the Eggs Benedict and found the hollandaise sauce to be both thin and overly sweet. Also, the chocolate croissant is sourced from Craft Bakery, and they make theirs with chocolate icing vs. real chocolate, which to us makes for a superior chocolate croissant. I've enjoyed Brother Fox for dinner, but I'm not sure I'll be returning for brunch.

We love this place, and our New Year brunch did not disappoint. Brother Fox always has a trick up his sleeve. Never fails to surprise and delight. Extra thanks to our server Lauren for making a memorable day.

Sister Hen is an incredible speaker easy in Pensacola. The cocktails by their mixologists are to die for…the flavors of their drinks dance across your palate. For New Years this was a great private party to have fun and not have to fight noisy crowds

Favorite meal I’ve had in Pensacola. Beautiful space, great service, and fantastic food. I can’t wait to come back when I visit the area next.

We had high anticipations but was quickly let down. The food was incredibly disappointing. The octopus had little to no taste. The seafood paella was dry, so portioned out (5 shrimp, 4 mussels) it was disappointing. The cost of $56 was not worth it. The hype is just that, hype. They need to think their menu and approach to delivering high quality food.

The wait staff was great . The receptionist was quite rude and confrontational - we had parked in the property lot that was empty and inquired when we went in if that was ok - she curtly responded it was not and needed to move to the street. We pointed out the ice pilots were playing and street parking was quite full. I asked if guests were expected to check in and if not then could we leave our car to which she snapped - no - my husband - who had never been to restaurant before wanted to just leave but agreed to stay . 3 of us ordered burgers but they ran out and only had 1 left but manager came over and was very nice and apologetic and even offered to comp a round of drinks which was not necessary. I will go back but my husband and other guests will not all because of the behavior of the receptionist which is a shame but the first impression is always critical.

Had a wonderful Christmas Eve paella. The saffron rice had a nice crust and was filled with clams, mussels and shrimp. The dollops of aioli finished it nicely. The reserve Rioja was perfect with it. Our server was personable and professional, a great combination. After give a shout out to the bar tenders at Sister Hen. They were absolutely slammed but made those of us at the bar feel like we were the only ones there. As we waited for our table, time flew as we watched them artfully make one cocktail after another. And finally, a shout out about the pan con tomate we had as our starter. That’s worth a trip just for it. So simple but the garlicky toast with the chopped tomatoes was just perfection.

Our family of four had an amazing dinner at Brother Fox and will definitely be back. Delicious food and great service in a lovely atmosphere.
