Poor service, rude, drinks slammed on table, couldn’t explain menu. Meat overcooked, vegetables undercooked, no fish just skin although a ‘chefs recommendation’. Wouldn’t go here again!

Fantastic food for Valentines meal and service to match. Probably the best meal and service I’ve had on a Valentines night!

Food was excellent despite not having the tofu in the vegan breakfast, however the restaurant did everything they could to accommodate our dietary requirements. The service was first class attentive but not overbearing, and the early morning ambiance was ideal. A thoroughly enjoyable experience

Had a very enjoyable evening, food very good and the service was excellent. Only issue is that a service charge of 10% is added to the bill which is optional but you only find out when you receive the bill.

A quick before theatre supper. Staff did very well to get us through in time having arrived a little late due to a train cancellation. Will be back for a more leisurely lunch one day!

Celebration lunch with my daughter. Arrived early and shown to a table after a fair wait - 3 waiters/waitresses mulling around but only one working the computer in turn to access table information. Problems getting a drink for my daughter- the law says she can have alcohol but it’s not our policy - we were told. No information about Browns policy on the drinks menu or any other menu. Very upset and embarrassed by the way we were addressed by the waitress. We do know the law. Long long long wait for food. All of 10 tables occupied while we were there as it was late afternoon. Break was lovely, risotto too peppery. Elderflower cocktail sugary and insipid - we had it at the waitresses recommendation. Very disappointed. Will not return. Could not recommend.

The afternoon high tea was a decent menu. However, the lemon tart was a tad too sour. The scones were great. We loved the ambience.

Fab..as always! Friendly staff giving a great welcome starts off a good experience. Special thanks to viktorija. Food was tasty, wine and Prosecco great.

Great location, lovely staff , tasty good and value for money - ticks all the boxes. I would definitely recommend, especially for pre or post theatre eating, as it is right next door to the Hippodrome and a lot cheaper than their on site restaurant.
