A quiet and intimate Thursday night at Buffalo Chophouse to celebrate my anniversary was a spectacularly organised night. We were greatly satisfied with our seating, upstairs along the balcony on a semi-private platform looking down to the bar (upon request). The service was a 500/10. Staff were extremely attentive and helpful. “There’s only one chicken and salmon dish on the menu because it’s so great.” True words about both dishes, and anything else that may pertain to that statement. Our expectations were matched and even exceeded with our selection. The menu itself has a great selection, I’ve previously dined here with a large party and everyone had been very impressed with their meal, including the young ones. Great options from my experience include but are not limited to; 8oz filet mignon, seared fillet of salmon, and the lobster tails. The chef is always very accommodating if any substitutions are requested. The cocktail list has a very diverse selection, but if they aren’t to your fancy, Buffalo Chophouse also has a fully open bar.

My order of Braised Short Ribs was fantastic. It included mashed potatoes, root vegetables and two onion rings. My husband ordered steak and it comes with nothing. He ordered a separate potato. I was surprised that his plate was just the small steak. I thought they could have dressed it up just a bit with some lettuce, sliced tomato or a few onion rings. Especially since the price was so high.

What made our meal special was our outstanding service from Eli, and his assistant, David. The food was excellent. Portions were a good size, enough for leftovers! We will definitely be going again, even though it is a bit pricey. It was worth it!!

Outstanding in every way! We went to the Buffalo Chophouse for an after-holiday meal to celebrate my birthday. We started with the Seafood Plateau for Two (amazing). It was just perfect. The kitchen staff really knows what they are doing; they cut the shells perfectly which made for easy dining! For our entrees, I had the 8 oz. filet mignon and lobster tail (also cut perfectly) and my husband had the 8 oz. filet mignon and two scallops. The bartender was so nice. She made a special martini drink for me that I asked for. As always when we go to the Chophouse, we have a wonderful time. You can't go wrong dining there! Of all the fine dining I've experience in Buffalo, and there are many fine restaurants, I always enjoy the Buffalo Chophouse as one of the very best.

Don't order a steak, Pittsburg rare. They do not know how to cook it. Ordered my steak this way and it was seared on one side and uncooked (no searing) on the other side. Also, prices are very high. Steaks are of very good quality but I can buy the same meat in my local butcher shop and grill it at home.

We went for Christmas dinner. It was lovely. The steaks were tremendous. They had a prime rib special that other diners were raving about. Now with my steak, I like a good old fashioned, and there’s was pretty mid. No big ice cube kinda thing. But that would be my only gripe.
