   Four of us, two couples, dined on a Friday night. We’ve eaten here many times in the past and been really happy. This time it was very busy and very slow. At first we thought our waitress was funny but she became a little too comfortable with us and was making jokes about one of the people in our party being old and claiming he had peed his pants. She even put an extra napkin on his lap is case he “peed himself again”. This joke continued throughout the entire meal and made our friend very uncomfortable, embarrassed and ruined his experience. The food was good except my short rib which was almost entirely fat and not good at all. I mentioned this to our waitress. She compensated me by taking our wine off the bill. Aside from still being hungry, this might have been fair except that my husband and I weren’t paying for the wine. Our friends had ordered it on their bill so they got a really nice discount on their tab and I was stuck paying for a meal that I couldn’t eat. Our waitress said she was sorry but she could only remove wine from the bill, not food so there was nothing she could do. Based on this experience, we probably won’t return anytime soon. There are just so many places to choose from and food is so expensive everywhere that I don’t want to risk another evening like this one.

   The team was very accommodating when we asked to move our reservation to an earlier time. Thank you for that. The server was below average. She did not introduce herself and wasn’t friendly. There were multiple tales but she has help to bring food out and such. Our water glass and my husband beer glass were empty and not refilled. Unless asked.

   Bread tasted stale bruschetta had no flavour pass. This tasted off Italian sausage tasted spoiled noodles were cooked properly. Service is bad left her empty glasses on the table waiting for drinks. Tiramisu tasted tangy which probably means the dairy had gone bad will not be going back.

   Overall it was an average experience. The highlight was the calamari and the cod. The short ribs had great flavor but the meat was a bit tough. The Service was great. Alexia knew the menu well and was able to address allergies and make required adjustments. She was very responsive, engaging and attentive. The ambience was lacking. There are several rooms and patrons were spread throughout each of them making it feel quite empty and low energy. The music though was very nice provided a pleasant background noise in the vastness of the room we were seated in.

   Have eaten here before so was happy to revisit. Unfortunately the food had very little flavour. Ordered the chicken parm and it was so bland. The pasta that came with it was a really nice texture, but again aside from some spice/heat the cream style sauce was almost flavourless. Was not really impressed with the wine selection. Most of the ones listed on the paper we were given were bottles that sell for $15 or less at the liquor store and were marked up to $70. At least provide a decent wine if you’re charging that price. Our server was kind and friendly. He didn’t seem to know much about the wine menu which left me to Google the bottles, finding the information shared above. I ended up having the draft IPA which I really enjoyed. For the price, I expected a really decent meal. I’ve had much better chicken parm at East Side Mario’s and Famoso. Was expecting this one to be better, or at the very least on par with less expensive chain restaurants. Other mall restaurants were packed. Buffo had a lot of empty tables. I guess it hasn’t done so well over the years. Not going to risk trying this one again. Too bad, the location is great and the facility itself is nice.

   Chicken parm and calamari were outstanding The service was really attentive and there was no extended wait for any course The tiramisu was very good but the chocolate mousse was better 🙄

   Wednesday dinner with salad to share, two orders of pasta and a bottle of wine. Great service. Excellent kitchen. Definitely going back for more.

   We decided to stop in for dinner on New Years Eve, and they had a special menu for the holidays that I decided to try and absolutely LOVED! The Bri cheese with honey and walnuts to start was rich with flavor. It had me wanting more. Don't even get me started on the pistachio tiramisu. What a must try dessert if you are a fan of tiramisu. It's definitely something I wish they had all year round. The chefs who made the special menu have some incredible taste, and I can't wait to go there again.

    Great service right from being greeted at the door and service throughout the dinner was exceptional. Will definitely be coming back. Thank you for a wonderful dinner on Christmas Eve!
