Restaurant owner Carlos Centurion’s newest Bulla (boo-ya) Gastrobar location in SouthPark at 4310 Sharon Rd., Suite W01. Bulla Gastrobar joins the Charlotte community with a contemporary spin on traditional Spanish tapas, an imaginative cocktail program, and an energetic atmosphere with extensive indoor and outdoor seating.

Named after the Spanish slang term for “chatter,” Bulla Gastrobar offers a menu that boasts a mix of “alta cocina” and traditional approaches to tapas, featuring innovative techniques that are applied to classic recipes to yield modern yet authentic dishes.

    Came for business lunch. Service was unusually slow - either short on staff or not good training, and not a manager in sight. Enjoyed butternut squash soup, though it could have been hotter. Again, maybe food was sitting out ready from the kitchen, but slow service probably affected the food temp. Also ordered the lentil soup and paella lunch combo. Lentil soup was very good, though a bit salty, and the paella was supposed to have chicken, shrimp and calamari. Though it had flavor and shrimp (3) were tender, it was disappointing since there was only one small chunk of chicken and we did not see any calamari. Due to being short on time for a business appointment, we did not have time to address these issues with the manager. Lastly, please improve and address your bathrooms and who is maintaining them daily. Both men's and women's bathrooms were extremely dark (get some brighter lights!) and the both sinks in the women's had broken faucet handles and both sinks had a slow steady stream running which could not be turned off (what a waste of water!). I hope the managers read this review and will improve.

    Amazing food, customer service and atmosphere. I definitely recommend this restaurant to all my friends and family.

    We LOVED this place. Everyone was lovely and friendly. The food was amazing and we left full and impressed! Will definitely recommend and come back!

    It was my wife's birthday yesterday. I had clearly requested in the reservation to do something special. Like when you bring desert, write Happy Birthday 🎂. Nothing of such request were acknowledged. Not even a wish. Food were good but churros (desert) was disappointing.

    Disappointed that almost all seafood items were unavailable. Otherwise food, service, atmosphere were great!

    4 of the main items (out of 7) were not available for order with no explanation. The items each were different with different food ingredients. Even a wine by the glass was out of stock after we ordered one glass of it - we could not order a second glass of the wine. While the other food items were good, we specifically came for the food items we wanted to order. The service was "fine" but we often had to ask someone to direct our waiter so that we could order something new, get water, or order a drink, or get the check, etc.

    Bulla is great! Very informed server, Tyler, walked us through the menu, described the more unusual and seasonal offerings. He checked on us with a comfortable balance. The food was mostly really good. The skewers were a bit dry, but the salads, the seasonal soup, and the patatas were good.

    We brought our mother there for a special dinner. She had never had tapas or a meal like that. All she kept saying was “this is so wonderful”. We ordered about 10 plates for the four of us and we were all happy with each one. Thanks for a great meal.
