From the team that bought you Red Spice Road, the idea for Burma Lane sprang from a sold-out, raved-about Burmese experience put on by the Red Spice Road crew during the 2013 Melbourne Food and Wine Festival Laneway events.

Since then our chefs have been excited about Burmese cuisine with its myriad of influences and the opportunity for culinary adventure this brings. John McLeay, our Executive Chef, heads up the Burma Lane team. He’s created an exciting menu celebrating the fresh, vibrant, deliciously different flavours of the region, featuring influences from the many cultures of modern and ancient Burma.

Friendly staff and very happy with the service. The food was very nice, but need to be very aware of people with coeliac (not just gf). I would recommend if you do not have dietary needs as very limited choice.

Out for a simple meal before a show. What a surprise. Service was first class and fun with our waitress providing helpful tips with the menu. The dishes served were all stunning. The attention to detail, like art meets food and yes the flavours just excellent. Will be back for more.

We were first timers and went on a recommendation from friends. Loved the funky venue, experienced staff were friendly and the food exceptional. We will definitely being going to Burma Lane again.

Fantasticly tasty food! Good drink selections and cocktails. A bit of a wait for drinks but it was a Saturday night. All 3 of us loved what we ordered! Special mention for the chicken wings, pork belly and HongKong French toast. We'll be back 👍
