Wow - an explosion of flavors tonight - It was our first time here and it was incredibly delicious. What a great treat. I think the mezze plates can be a bit bigger for the money - especially when you're buying bread and/or crudités to accompany them. Those have to be the best falafel I've had outside of Lebanon! I hope the kitchen is consistent and we'll have an equally good meal when we return.

We had a wonderful experience here. My husband and I ate dinner here for Valentine’s Day. The decor is lovely and cozy. The wait staff was very attentive. And the food was all delicious!

We had a wonderful dinner of their middle sized plates. Everything was fresh, well seasoned and delicious. We enjoyed the artichoke plate, eggplant, cauliflower, falafel, and warm taboon bread with taziki. The staff were polite, friendly and knowledgeable.

The taboon bread was absolutely divine, with a soft, warm texture that complemented the rich flavors of the the spicy plate which in itself was a true standout—bold and packed with vibrant, tantalizing flavors. The Amba sauce, served as a side dish, was exceptional, with a perfect balance of tangy and savory notes. Although the hummus was a modest portion, its smooth, creamy texture and depth of flavor made every bite memorable. The falafel was nothing short of perfection—crispy on the outside, tender and flavorful on the inside. For dessert, the Silan is was a delightful surprise, a velvety ice cream crowned with a delicate sprinkle of halva, creating a heavenly combination of sweet and nutty flavor. The service was exceptional—efficient and quick, making the entire dining experience smooth and enjoyable. We were fortunate to have a delightful young lady named Gabriella attending to us. She was not only attentive but also friendly, adding a personal touch to our meal with her warmth and professionalism. Her quick responses and thoughtful recommendations truly elevated the experience.

My recent visit to Butan was a study in contrasts, a delicious meal unfortunately preceded by a cold encounter. The food wasn't just good, it was great. Our server was attentive and accommodating, catering to our needs throughout the meal. He was wonderful. While the food was great and the service impeccable, the initial encounter left a distinctly unpleasant aftertaste. Arriving about 13 min before opening, I found the doors unlocked and patrons already seated at the bar. It was 15°F. I entered. However, my attempt to seek shelter from the freezing temperature was met with a frosty reception from the bartender. The restaurant opened at 5pm he said. He asked me to leave. This start unfortunately colored my overall perception of the restaurant. In the any business, a warm welcome is paramount, and Butan, while offering great food and attentive service, fell short in this crucial area.
